Some cars are exempt from inspection for six years, some are excluded...
The most basic purpose of the annual review and annual inspection is to ensure that the car can operate normally, after all, every car with safety hazards will have the opportunity to become a road killer.
But one thing we must be clear about is that "annual inspection" and "annual review" are two different concepts. Annual inspection is the vehicle needs to go on the testing line for vehicle operation testing, while the annual inspection is the review of vehicle-related documents.
For example, any vehicle is reviewed at least once every two years, but the first six years of the new car can be exempted from the detection line, which has to be said to be a very reasonable regulation, and it is also very in line with the guidelines of vehicle safety testing, after all, the test is to check the safety hazards of the vehicle.
In the past two years, the regulations on exemption from inspection have changed twice, first including more models into the six-year exemption, and then excluding some categories of models.
6 years exemption from inspection implementation scope
First of all, we need to clearly understand the meaning of "6 years of exemption".
According to the definition of relevant documents, non-operating mini and mini passenger cars with less than 6 seats can be exempted from the test line for 6 years after the registration of new cars, but every two years they must go to the vehicle management office for vehicle-related document review (annual review), which is the so-called annual review. In addition, non-operating mini and mini passenger cars that have been in operation for more than 6 years and less than 10 years are tested every two years.
In addition, in November 2020, the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security expanded the scope of motor vehicle exemption below, including 7 to 9 non-operating small and micro passenger cars (except vans) into the 6-year exemption.
6-year exemption from inspection "new rules"
These newly added contents, everyone really must pay attention!
In the past period of time, some people in the market took the "6-year exemption from inspection" as a "legal modification period", after all, this time does not need to be on the test line, so many people choose to "release it" when the new car lands.
Recently, Guangdong Shenzhen, Guangdong Foshan, Zhejiang Jiaxing, Gansu Tianshui, Sichuan Zigong and other cities began to strictly investigate illegal acts of modification. Once the vehicle is penalized for illegal modification, it will be cancelled and enjoy the 6-year exemption policy. In addition, there are two cases in which the 6-year exemption will be cancelled:
1. Cars that have not been registered from the factory for more than 4 years
2. Register a vehicle that has had a traffic accident causing casualties within 6 years
To sum up, three points, 4 years of unregistered, 6 years of casualties and illegal modification of these three vehicles, can not enjoy the 6 years exemption policy. In fact, it is not difficult to understand, after all, the probability of safety hazards in the above vehicles is higher.
