At this point, the century-old mystery of Guangxu's cause of death has finally been solved.
Why did Cixi kill Guangxu? In the subsequent series of wars, such as the Sino-Japanese War and the Opium War, whether before or during the war, or aftermath, Empress Dowager Cixi did not make a big deal out of it, but tried to let the Guangxu Emperor be the master. Therefore, no matter what the outcome of this war was, and no matter how the imperial party was in dispute, Empress Dowager Cixi and the Guangxu Emperor did not have a rift because of the war, and their feelings were not affected by the defeat of the war. Although there was no rift, as a young and vigorous Guangxu Emperor, he still wanted to do something.
The contradiction between the Guangxu Emperor and Cixi was in the Wushu Change, because at that time, after the Qing government lost the war, it paid indemnities and land, which made many people very dissatisfied, so there was a later Wushu Change, so Guangxu resolutely accepted the Wushu Change law headed by Kang Youwei. As we all know, one of the wushu reform methods was to take power back from cixi, a crazy woman, and the emperor hoped that Yuan Shikai could raise an army to serve the king, kill RongLu and besiege the Summer Palace where Cixi lived, and later Yuan Shikai revealed this matter to Cixi and used it to ask for credit.
Later the result is known to everyone, that is, the failure of the Wushu reform law, the Guangxu Emperor was placed under house arrest in Yingtai, the six gentlemen of the Wushu were killed, in the days when the Guangxu Emperor was put under house arrest, he repeatedly said how to deal with political history if he was in power, and finally the Guangxu Emperor was poisoned by Cixi and tortured to death. Quickly let Empress Longyu come over, explain the aftermath to her, and write four big words on her hand, "Kill Yuan Shikai." As a result, Yuan Shikai was not killed, but became the first person to overthrow the rule of the Qing Dynasty, if Yuan Shikai was killed that year, history may be rewritten.
