The mother is obsessed with the so-called true love, and dislikes Condell as a burden to herself, and instead of taking in her son, she ignores her own flesh and blood. Faced with his mother's abandonment, little Condel cried bitterly.
Finally, at the age of eleven, Condel resolutely fled the orphanage in search of his own home. Condell began his wandering life, living on an abandoned broken ship and having a "home" there. Opposite the abandoned ship lived a wealthy family, a little girl of his age, with a good education and excellent living conditions.
However, because of his ugly appearance, he was always excluded and snubbed, until he met the same lonely Condell, and the young souls have since had comfort with each other.
