The Xuantong Emperor Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, was pushed to the throne by Empress Dowager Cixi at the age of three, and the little emperor abdicated at the age of six. In the few short years of his reign as emperor, he personally experienced a great revolution in China, the Xinhai Revolution. Since then, he has become an ordinary citizen above ten thousand people, and the change of heaven and earth has made Puyi's life quite legendary.

Puyi and his uncle Emperor Guangxu had a similar fate, having no sons, more than half a month after the deaths of Emperor Guangxu and Cixi. Puyi successfully succeeded to the throne, and the next year was changed to the first year of Xuan reunification, and from then on, the little Puyi never heard others call him by his name. Most of the people who heard it were the Emperor or Viva Grandpa. For the meaning of these two words, Puyi at that time did not understand much.
At this time, the Qing Empire was already in ruins, whether it was the regent of the jianguo or the empress dowager Longyu, basically could not save such a situation, they introduced a variety of measures to protect the Qing Dynasty, but they were ineffective, but accelerated the collapse of the Qing Dynasty. On February 12, 1912, Empress Longyu issued the abdication edict of Puyi, the Qing Emperor. Yuan Shikai publicly declared that he was in favor of the republic and became the provisional president of the Republic of China.
Feng Yuxiang staged a coup d'état in Beijing in 1924, which eventually forced Puyi to leave the palace and become an ordinary citizen. After the September 18 Incident in 1931, Japanese imperialism decided to invite Puyi to the northeast to "restore the country", Puyi thought that the opportunity to restore the country had arrived, so he gladly went, but the final result became the puppet emperor of Manchukuo. After Japan's defeat, Puyi was escorted to the Soviet Union, sent to a shelter, and spent five years in detention.
At that time, Puyi was very afraid that he would be sent back to China and sentenced to capital punishment for treason, so he donated the valuable jewelry and other items he carried with him to the Soviet government to support their post-war economic construction. Hopefully, the Soviet government would keep him in the Soviet Union. Puyi's wishes were disappointed, and after the founding of New China, the Soviet government transferred him to the Chinese government along with other war criminals.
For the next nine years, Puyi accepted the transformation into a Chinese citizen. In 1959, Puyi was restored to his freedom and went to Beijing to start a new life of self-reliance. In 1962, he married a nurse in Beijing and formed a happy little family. In his spare time, Puyi began to write his autobiography "The First Half of My Life". Due to the need for writing, the leader suggested that Puyi go to the Forbidden City to take a walk and recall the memories of his childhood. So accompanied by colleagues, Puyi once again embarked on the road back to the Forbidden City.
Only this time there was no eight-wheeled caravan, and even the door to enter the Forbidden City still needed to buy tickets, I don't know what kind of mood Puyi was in at that time?
Puyi revisited the Forbidden City in his later years and went to many childhood places, but many places have changed their taste, and the most unacceptable place for him is that Puyi came to the guangxu emperor's residence at that time. Seeing the photo of the Guangxu Emperor made him cry and laugh, but the original photo that was hung on the wall was his father Zaifeng, and kindly reminded the staff that the photo was wrongly placed.
After the staff called the experts of the Forbidden City, Puyi said to the experts: "This is not a photo of the Guangxu Emperor, you are hanging up wrong, this is a photo of Prince Zaifeng of Alcohol", and the suspected expert said to Puyi angrily: "I am specialized in this aspect, don't I know better than you?" Puyi said very politely: "Although I don't know much about history, but my father still knows", the expert listened to it for a while without words, and his old face turned red.
