"Master Zhang, our family is in the second group, please open a list for me!" Mr. Shao, a tea farmer, shouted to the staff of the village committee.

In the open space next to the village committee of Dongmuwu Village in Hangzhou's left street, a large red truck stopped, and many villagers rode tricycles in a long line. It turned out that it was time for the annual free distribution of rapeseed cakes, and villagers came one after another to collect their own rapeseed cakes.

At the scene, the crowds who registered to open the bill, maintained the order, and carried the rapeseed cake converged into a lively scene.

As the main West Lake Longjing tea production area that left the street, Dongmuwu Village has 1500 acres of tea land, and the villagers have lived on tea for generations. Every year, between the cold dew and the frost, tea farmers bury rapeseed cakes in the tea field. Rapeseed cake has a history of 100 years as a traditional fertilizer in the Longjing tea production area of West Lake.

"Rapeseed cake is a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer, which can make the leaves of the tea thicker and better quality, and the brewed Longjing tea will be more fragrant." West Lake Longjing tea stir-fry master Shao Minghua said.

In recent years, Hangzhou has launched many measures to benefit farmers for the quality upgrading and standardized production of West Lake Longjing tea. At the beginning of March every year, the West Lake District Agricultural Bureau will distribute west lake Longjing anti-counterfeiting stickers to tea farmers, arrange drones to sprinkle pesticides after the tea season, distribute sticky worm boards for free, and distribute rapeseed cakes for free at the end of September.

"This year is the fourth year that the government has distributed rapeseed cakes, and now there is no need to worry about the quality of rapeseed cakes, this service for the benefit of the people not only allows our tea farmers to save money and effort, but also makes our West Lake Longjing quality better." Villager Master Zhang said.

It is reported that each mu of tea field can receive 235 catties of rapeseed cake, and the event distributed a total of more than 190 tons of rapeseed cake, benefiting more than 2,000 villagers in Dongmuwu.
