The Telegraph: Aubameyang will no longer train with the first team until he goes to the Africa Cup of Nations

According to the Daily Telegraph, Aubameyang will no longer train with the first team until he goes to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of his Arsenal captain's armband and has not played in the Gunners' midweek league, with Arteta confirming on Friday that Aubameyang will also not be in this weekend's match against Leeds United.

The Daily Telegraph said Aubameyang would no longer train with the first team, training alone before travelling to Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations, which starts on 9 January, and would not represent Arsenal. If Aubameyang doesn't leave in the winter window, Arsenal will look at his situation after the Africa Cup of Nations and Arteta will decide whether to let him stay in the first team to train and play.

Lacazette has been Arsenal's captain in his last two games, with the Daily Telegraph saying Arteta could wait until the season is over to make a captain appointment, with Tierney and Erdegaard considered as new captains.
