Ruiyi Q4 revenue can be excellent Q3; next year's outlook is temporarily conservative

Backlight module manufacturer Ruiyi Optoelectronics pointed out that every quarter in 2021 is very stable, and it was expected that the fourth quarter would also be more than NT$14 billion, but it seems that it will be higher than expected and better than last quarter. Originally expected to decline by around 10 percent this year, it now looks likely to have a slightly better chance than last year.

Looking forward to 2022, the company's view is more conservative, because the demand related to working at home may slow down, coupled with the adjustment of some models, including 12.9-inch models may return to zero next year, and the estimated revenue performance is flat in the case of still good demand for notebook computers and downhauls for tablet computers.

In terms of vehicle products, the company has entered the supply chain of the U.S. electric vehicle manufacturer's in-car display device, including a central control system with high specifications, and the growth rate of in-vehicle product shipments this year is estimated to be more than 50%, but the vehicle products are relatively stable, will not suddenly grow significantly, and the overall revenue proportion is still low.

Overall, the order situation of Ruiyi from Us customers in 2022 should be similar to this year, and Ruiyi's position in the supply chain of US customers should remain stable. The main difference is that shipments of the 12.9-inch model may be zeroed out. As for the introduction of the 11-inch model into OLED, it seems that it may be postponed.

Mini LED technology, Ruiyi explained that the company undertook the Mini LED backlight order of notebook computers, but did not receive the backlight module of the 12.9-inch tablet computer, mainly for the customer's own considerations (balancing the supply chain).

In response to the development of new Mini LED products, Ruiyi's capital expenditure in 2021 is slightly higher than last year, mainly for related equipment procurement, and it is estimated that there will still be some capital expenditure for Mini LED-related investment in 2022, but it is not a large amount of huge investment.
