After the news spread, many villagers rushed to the scene to watch. Some people who had gone out to see the world said that it might be an old thing, so they notified the township and eventually reported it to the county. After the cultural relics department learned about it, it immediately sent the person in charge of archaeology to lead a team to Chengzi Village to carry out rescue excavations.
Under the guidance of experts, the archaeologists resumed the excavation work, and finally determined that this is a relatively rare Jin Dynasty aristocratic burial tomb, the coffin material is a stone rafter wooden coffin, of which the stone rafter is made of 10 stone slabs, the corners of the wooden coffin are decorated with ruyi silver sheets, and the coffin lid is placed in the middle of a Silver Plate of a Yang Wen Seal Book, which is extremely exquisitely made.
The anti-embalming measures of this ancient tomb are actually not good, but what makes people feel strange is that after a thousand years, the clothes worn by the corpses have been well preserved. The clothing worn by the female tomb owner is very exquisite, the color is good, and after such a long period of corrosion, you can still see its magnificence. It turned out that the clothes used were not gold leaf, but gold brocade. Before I saw it in the history books, it was said that the Song Dynasty had a top silk fabric, that is, gold brocade, which was the first time it was unearthed, and experts were also very surprised after seeing the real thing.
As the yellow scarf was lifted, the archaeologists were stunned. The face under this yellow cloth had long since decayed, and the reason why it could hold up this yellow scarf was because there was still a layer of silk on the face. Silk, which has been preserved for more than 1,000 years, is quite rare in the world archaeological community. This discovery has undoubtedly refreshed the cognition of historians.
The corpse of the man on the side also provided a lot of information, and archaeologists found a wooden plaque under him, which read " Tai Wei Yi and the Three Si Shi Qi King" several large characters. Based on this, archaeologists speculate that this tomb is most likely the tomb of The King of Qi in the Jin Dynasty, Yan Yan and Concubines. The fact that the tomb of a Jinguo emperor could be so simple shows that the Jinguo people are quite casual about funerals.
After determining the identity of the male tomb owner, experts were confused about the identity of the female tomb owner. Generally speaking, the joint burial tomb is full of husband and wife, but the woman has signs of being hit by a blunt object in the back of her head (the traditional method of killing by the Jurchen tribe), and some white substances have been found in the abdomen, which are highly toxic according to the relevant agencies. That is, it is highly likely that the woman did not die of natural causes, but was martyred after being killed. After examining the teeth of the female tomb owner, experts found that her age was about 40 years old, which coincided with the age of Zhao Jingu, the Emperor Qingfu of the Song Dynasty.
In that year, after Zhao Tuo arrived in the Jin Dynasty, he was imprisoned in the Five Kingdoms City for 9 years, and later died of hatred due to mental torture. And his daughter Zhao Jingu is also missing, and for many years, there was no record in the history books. Many scholars in the historical circles believe that they may have become the concubines of the nobles of the Jin Dynasty. However, due to the lack of evidence of excavated cultural relics, it can only stay in the conjecture stage. The discovery of this ancient tomb of the Golden State undoubtedly deepens the possibility of this conjecture.
In addition, the autopsy results further indicated that the female corpse was around 40 years old at the time of death. Linked to the fact that Zhao Jingu was born in 1122 and Yan Yan died in 1162, this possibility is magnified again. Of course, before any exact written record is unearthed, everything can only be conjectured. Whether she was Zhao Jingu or not, she only had to wait for time to answer.
