In January 2020, Inter bought Eriksen and signed him a contract that expires in the summer of 2024 for a transfer fee of €13.5 million and an annual salary of €7.5 million after tax. At this summer's European Championship, Eriksen was named to the Danish national team squad and started in the group stage opener against Finland.
