The whole poem has two links, the first link is composed by the Xiangyan Idle Zen master, and the last link is composed by Tang Xuanzong - "Waterfall Lian sentence": Thousands of rocks and valleys do not spare their efforts, and the source is high from a distance. At first glance, it is just an ordinary poem, if there is no small preface under the poem, probably no one will think of anything related to Tang Xuanzong: "History of Poetry" Yun - Emperor Youfangwai, to Huang Barberry, and Huang Barberry Zen Master to view the waterfall joint sentence. However, this statement was later corrected in the Chronicle of the Buddha, when Tang Xuanzong participated in the writing of this poem, the Huang Barberry Zen Master was not in Lushan, but went to Haichang, and the Accompanying Zen Master should be the Xiangyan Idle Zen Master, "The emperor went to Lushan, and the Xiangyan Idle Zen Master Yong, when Huang Barberry was in Haichang."
In fact, we don't want to see this "Waterfall Joint Sentence" is a mixed product, but the overall sense is very strong, it can be said to be a magnificent waterfall poem.
Thousands of rocks and valleys do not spare any effort, and the source is high from a distance. Lushan Waterfall must have leapt over thousands of rocks, twists and turns, after a lot of hard work to form a waterfall from the gradual growth and then rushing under the stream, people watching the waterfall can only stand in the distance to see the true face of the waterfall, realize that the spectacular waterfall is actually from the peak above the stream river.
Xiangyan Xian Zen Master was a good friend of Tang Xuanzong and knew very well about Tang Xuanzong's situation, at that time, Tang Xuanzong was still just a prince who pretended to be crazy and sold stupid, but the emperor was Tang Wuzong, on the basis of generations, Tang Wuzong was his nephew, but Tang Xuanzong, who had been seeking self-preservation since childhood, pretended to be crazy and sold stupid, and Emperor Wuzong often bullied him. Xiang Yan Xian Zen Master's writing is actually alluding to the waterfall is Tang Xuanzong, even if he is a noble royal family, he must rely on his own ability to make a difference, which is an encouragement to Tang Xuanzong.
The stream can not be retained, and eventually the sea will be the waves. This sentence is written to go out of the waterfall, the waterfall rushes down, where can the mountain stream keep it, just let it live for the time being, this unstoppable waterfall, after all, will still run into the sea, and then set off waves in the sea. It's not the waterfall that sets off the waves, it's the dragon! In our country, the emperor also has a title called True Dragon Tianzi, at this time Tang Xuanzong, who pretended to be stupid, wrote such a couplet, and he could not see that he had great ambitions in his chest, and all this was actually a testimony to Tang Xuanzong's later life.
When Emperor Wuzong of Tang died, Tang Xuanzong was proclaimed by the eunuch as the emperor's uncle, who was actually the heir to the throne, but he was separated from generation to generation and could not be called the crown prince. After the death of Emperor Wuzong of Tang, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang succeeded to the throne as the emperor's uncle and took the Tang Dynasty into zhongxing.
The whole poem is to write about people in the form of scenes, although they encounter difficulties, they do not give up hope and have great ambitions. Tang Xuanzong's poetic words, the next two sentences to undertake the first two sentences, is really natural, rare, especially in the end of the sea as a wave, but also with his future identity contrast, identity interest knows so predictable, very rare!
