As the oldest literary genre in China, poetry should be more connected with reality at present, reflect the spiritual climate of the times, and provide spiritual inspiration and value guidance for the times.
The Book of Verses says, "The hungry sing their food, and the laborer sings their deeds." Du Fu, known as the "History of Poetry", cast his concerned eyes on the bottom of society with a sincere heart, and the blood and tears of "Three Officials" and "Three Distinctions" have deeply grasped the pulse of the times and presented the blood and tears of an era. Bai Juyi Xinle Fu poetry advocates that "articles are written for the times, and songs and poems are written for things." The text of "Worrying about Charcoal and Wishing for Cold Weather" in "Selling Charcoal" has always excited the hearts of future generations. Chinese poetry has always run through a red line of realism, making itself closer to life, assuming the responsibility of "singer of the times", and constantly achieving brilliant achievements. Poetry is a good medicine to heal people's hearts, especially in postmodern society, the public needs poets to take on the responsibility and mission of reality. If you leave real life, poetry will become a sourceless water, a rootless wood.
