Daily Picks — The world's first text message will be auctioned; Intel and TSMC have reached a 3nm partnership

According to foreign media reports, the world's first text message will be auctioned for the first time, with a starting price of up to 170,000 pounds (about 1.43 million yuan).

The text message was sent in December 1992 by Neil Papavo, a 22-year-old engineer at Vodafone, who sent the message to Richard Jarvis, the company's director of communications. The text message was only fifteen characters short: "Merry Christmas."

The auction about the sms will be conducted by Vodafone, the current owner of the SMS, which will auction a digital replica of the SMS, and bidders will need to pay in cryptocurrency. Upon completion of the transaction, the successful bidder will be provided with a digital file containing all the information of the SMS, which will include the telephone number used to send the SMS and the SMS itself, and shall have the exclusive rights granted by Vodafone.

Vodafone said the proceeds from the auction would be donated to the United Nations high commissioner for refugees.

The world's earliest text message sounds more like a gimmick, but it has great historical significance, text messages as one of the most popular social methods in the world, but now it is full of all kinds of verification codes, people who have experienced all this can not help but feel a little sighing.

Daily Picks — The world's first text message will be auctioned; Intel and TSMC have reached a 3nm partnership

Intel CEO Henry Kissinger Lightning visited Taiwan and highlighted the partnership with TSMC, a leading foundry company, in yesterday's pre-recorded video. The market came out that Kissinger has met with TSMC executives yesterday to finalize 3nm foundry capacity, the industry is optimistic, Intel extended and TSMC advanced process foundry cooperation, considering transportation and time costs, wafer test orders will also be undertaken by Taiwan factory, Riyueguang Investment Control, Jingyuan Electric, Silicon grid and so on can be expected to usher in new orders.

The industry said that in order to consolidate its own market share, Intel must seek foreign assistance in the advanced process technology part, that is, entrusted by TSMC, and it is estimated that from wafer manufacturing to back-end advanced packaging, TSMC solutions will be used.

With the production of Intel advanced process products in Taiwan, wafer testing and other post-orders in the Taiwan supply chain is complete, which can effectively reduce the transportation time and cost, there is a chance to be undertaken by Taiwan factories such as Riyueguang Investment Control, Jingyuan Electric, and Sige, and the order volume will be further expanded.

Although Kissinger has previously said that Taiwan is unstable, but then changed his mouth to praise TSMC's greatness, the attitude has changed 180 degrees, which may be due to TSMC's 3nm is indispensable to Intel, the need to quickly predetermine production capacity to complete the existing product plan, Intel has repeatedly emphasized its advanced technology, but the actual action is very honest.
