This patch only applies to the remake, Diablo 2: Hellfire Reborn, and the original version is not available. The last balance patch for Diablo 2 was 1.13c, which was released on March 23, 2010.

The two key points of the patch, one is the adjustment of the balance of the class, and the other is the first season of the ladder mode, let's take a look.

Career balance

Some of the content descriptions are vague and cannot be determined to be enhanced or weakened. The details will be announced in the official live broadcast on December 16. Blizzard as a whole is satisfied with the existing class, and the skill adjustment is only to bring about the diversity of gameplay.

Amazon: Enhance some previously underutilized melee skills and increase their usage;

Assassins: Martial arts and trap skills are re-evaluated and may face blood exchange;

Barbarian: Modifies some commonly used synergy skills

Druid: Strengthen summoning, strengthen bears, strengthen elemental skills, especially fire;

Necromancer: Adjust certain summoning skills;

Paladin: Strengthen certain skills to make them more effective, adjust the damage aura of the range to make the effect at close range better.

In addition, Blizzard is also working on improvements to mercenaries. (I don't know if you have considered strengthening the Iron Wolf and weakening uncle Mi)

Ladder mode

1. Launch runes exclusive to the Ladder

2. There will be no new equipment in the first season, but there will be a set of rewards. Introduced a new Heradiq Cube recipe to improve the quality of the set.

3. The new season uses a new character, the end of the season data is cleared to zero, and the player who completes the Rune Word will transfer their character to a non-Ladder version of the game.

4. The start time of the first season is undecided and is expected to last for 4 months.

5. There are four ladder modes: leisure mode without expansion pack (four acts), expert mode without expansion pack (1 life mode), leisure mode with expansion pack (five acts), and expert mode with expansion pack.

The Diablo 2: Hellfire Reborn 2.4 patch is expected to launch PTR testing in early 2022. In addition, Robert Gallerani, the game's head of design, and senior producer Matthew Cederquist will conduct a developer live broadcast on December 16 to announce the details of this update, please follow our follow-up report.
