Short Story: A beggar came from the village

author:Mu shi emotion

One day, a ragged beggar came from the village, not very old, twenty years old, because his hometown was flooded, wandering around, begging all the way.

The beggar washed his face by the river, a young man who was clean, with thick eyebrows and big eyes. The villagers were a little unbearable, did not drive him away, and arranged for him to live in a large house that had been vacant for many years at the entrance of the village.

The house looks good, there are many rooms, the yard is large, and the arms are stretched out as if to embrace something, but no one dares to live, because who lives in whose house is unlucky, either has a strange disease or a missing population.

I heard that the original owner of the house was a teaching gentleman, the parents and wife farmed, the family was happy and harmonious, the life was quiet and peaceful, especially when autumn came, corn, millet and peanuts were dried on the roof, in the yard, on the path in front of the door, and the trees behind the house were full of various fruits.

Like birds and finches, the children are hungry and have good things in other people's homes, so they gather around in the bright and dangling sun to get food and chirp. They would always see the gentleman's five-year-old doll, often teasing him, and he would laugh happily.

Suddenly one day the little doll disappeared, as if abducted by human traffickers, the whole family was heartbroken, looking around, the sea of people was vast, so small a person was difficult to see, and then moved away and did not come back.

The young man did not abandon the house, happily lived in it, and thanked everyone very much.

He learned to tailor, and soon opened a tailor shop, the business is getting better and better, and the people in the neighboring villages have come to make clothes, all praising him for not only good craftsmanship, but also warm and friendly, just like relatives, no one thinks he is a foreigner.

Someone was a matchmaker, and he married the best looking girl. A year later, the wife gave birth to a big fat boy.

How strange is it that nothing unpleasant happened?!

The villagers talked about it in private, saying everything they wanted, and finally unified their voices, thinking that the young man had come specifically to grab the land, and all the misfortunes that had happened before were inseparable from him, and he was doing something wrong.

In order to drive away the young man, the village chief specially invited an old man who was counting.

The old man with a white beard and a strong spirit, circled around the house again and again, originally said that this room was uninhabitable, blocking the fortunes of the whole village, but the words did not spit out, took out the money that had been collected from his pocket, returned it all, shook his head and hurriedly left.

The village chief chased after him and asked why.

The old man said, "There is no need to force it, but it is very good to return the things to the original owner."
