The UPCOMING RIZIN THOR 33 TOURNAMENT IN SAITATA PREFECTURE, Japan, on December 31, has added a high-profile showdown, with former K-1 WGP sub-midweight (67.5kg) champion Yuta Kubo's second MMA mixed martial arts match against 94 kg of local player "Butter" Saito Hikaru, with a weight of 90 kg and 3 minutes per round, a total of 2 rounds.

Yuta Kubo (49-10-1, 29 KO) is 34 years old and 175cm tall. He began his career in 2005 and won the NJKF and WPMO championships in 2007. He won the ISKA championship in 2012 and the Krush championship in 2013. Yuta Kubo has won six consecutive games since her point loss to China's Xie Lei in January 2017, including three consecutive wins in the K-1 WGP sub-middleweight eight-man tournament in September 2017. He has since successfully defended his title three times, winning The Points victory over Melsik Baghdasaryan in March 2018, Kido Yasuhiro in March 2019 and Jordann Pikeur in March 2020. Recently, I participated in RIZIN's first attempt at MMA rules in September this year, regrettably losing to Shinobu Ota.

Hikaru Saito (4-9-1, 2 K, 4 S) is 36 years old and 180cm tall. In 2008, he began his professional MMA career, and in December last year, he participated in the RIZIN Thor 26 tournament and played a special rule match with Kawabe Hiroya, which was a draw at the time, and later looked at the game replay to confirm that Kawabe Hiroshi was also locked up when he conceded defeat, and the result was changed to a surrender victory. Just this July, the match against comedy artist Satoshi Minamikawa won the first leg.

The grand finale was the RIZIN Lightweight Championship Tournament, where current champion Roberto de Sousa (12-1, 4 K, 8 S) played a second game against challenger Yusuke Yachi (23-11, 6 K, 2 S). There were also four finalists of the RIZIN Grand Prix: former RIZIN champion Asaka Kai (18-3, 11 K, 3 S) against rookie Kenta Takizawa (13-7, 9 K, 0 S), former UFC player 24-year-old Naoki Inoue (17-2, 1 K, 10 S) vs. Shudou champion Hiroshima Osobo (23-5-2, 1 K, 6 S). There were also two former RIZIN featherweight champions in a double match, with Hiroshi Saito (20-5-2, 5 K, 2 S) against Mirai Asakura (15-3, 8 K, 1 S, 1 N). Current RIZIN women's super atomicweight champion Juka Hamazaki (23-3, 3 K, 10 S) played an untitled super battle against 24-year-old unbeaten rising star Hoshika Izawa (4-0, K, 1 S).
