At present, similar to the development process of other new technologies, AI is also experiencing a process from "truth-seeking of technical exploration" to "pragmatic practical application", and the two complement each other and gradually move forward.

In Megvii's view, AI is moving towards deeper integration.

On the one hand, AI is merging more deeply with other technologies. Among them, the convergence of AI and the Internet of Things (IoT) is quite typical. On the other hand, AI is moving towards deep integration with the real economy. Many of its needs come from physical industries such as clothing, medicine, and food, urban governance, warehousing and logistics, etc., to help the industry reduce costs and increase efficiency and create real value.

At the same time, the value of AI people-oriented is highlighted. "The core of AI is people, and it needs to be people-oriented, driven by people, and served by people." AI companies should implement the people-oriented concept into the actual application process.

In cities, Megvii advocates the concept of "urban space as a service", injecting ai capabilities into urban production, living and ecological spaces, as well as many urban micro-units such as buildings, parks, communities, and commercial outlets, to promote the construction of a new type of smart city that is smarter and warmer. Among them, people are the core of urban space services.

On the industrial side, the value of "people-oriented" is reflected in the enhancement of human capabilities with AI, while freeing humans from heavy, repetitive, and unfriendly work environments and liberating manpower to do more creative things.

On this basis, Megvii said that it firmly believes that AI is a capability and a responsibility. It is necessary to adhere to AI technology and industrial innovation, but also to firmly carry out AI governance work, taking into account both development and governance. In the process of continuously promoting AI technology innovation and AI value application, AI can exert greater social value.

In recent years, Megvii has carried out practice in participating in the formulation of AI governance rules and standards, carrying out internal autonomy of enterprises, promoting industry-university-research cooperation, advocating science and technology for good, and innovating governance technology and means. Megvii said, "Facing the future, Megvii will continue to do a good job in exploring the cutting-edge technology of artificial intelligence and the implementation of industry empowerment, while further improving the practice of enterprise AI governance, and is willing to actively participate in international exchanges and cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and AI governance dialogues, contributing to the establishment of international AI governance rules with broad consensus and the promotion of the sustainable development of global AI."
