The new converged infrastructure solution will support NVIDIA NIM inference microservices, the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform for generative AI development and deployment, and Retrieval Enhanced Generation (RAG), enabling customers to leverage their private proprietary data to support AI technologies without the need for large-scale model training.

Generative AI creates a wealth of opportunities for businesses, but many may find AI out of reach due to factors such as cost, integration complexity, and deployment time. At the same time, prebuilt large language models (LLMs) are often not trained on the most up-to-date or relevant data that businesses need to generate valuable insights or effectively automate routine tasks.

NetApp has been a leader in unstructured data storage for more than three decades, with the majority of the world's enterprise unstructured data stored in NetApp storage systems. Unlocking the full value of this data requires much more than foundational model training. By enabling inference and RAG, NetApp AIPod, combined with Lenovo's leading server reliability, quality, and performance, can seamlessly, simply, and quickly combine the power of LLMs with accurate, up-to-date, and relevant information in NetApp storage systems.
