In Gaotang Town, Huazhou District, Weinan City, there is such an old revolutionary predecessor, after the defeat of the Great Revolution, he served as an underground traffic officer of the party, born into death. In April 1960, as the only representative of the Weinan region, he was invited to attend the National Militia Congress at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, and won the honor of awarding a semi-automatic rifle by the Central Military Commission.

The underground traffic officer who assisted Liu Zhidan to get out of the predicament - Chen Juyi, a native of Gaotang, Huaxian County

His name was Chen Juyi, and people honored him as "Elder Chen" and was born in 1902 to a poor peasant family. Originally from the Guozhuang Group in Hulei Village, Gaotang Town, after the failure of the Weihua Uprising, the house was burned down by the Qingxiang Regiment. After liberation, he was given half a courtyard house for landlords and moved to the Songzui Group of Hulei Village. His parents died of illness in his early years, he made a living selling tofu, wandered in the countryside every day, treated people warmly, was well-informed, often carried his feet for his neighbors, sold tofu honestly and trustworthily, bought and sold fairly, and was very popular with the trust and love of the villagers.

One day in 1927, Huanglukou Village stated that de asked him to meet at the big stone in the northwest of Huanglukou School at night, and after the meeting, his brother Shu Shan also came, and State Shan did not talk to Chen Juyi, saying straight to the point: "I am a Communist Party member, the Communist Party is a party that avenges the deep wrongs of the poor people, and it is a party with the purpose of liberating all mankind and allowing everyone to live an equal, free, and prosperous life. These words cut into Chen Juyi's heart, and he looked at Shu Shan and replied without hesitation: "Willing to participate" Shu Shan continued: "To join the Communist Party in making a revolution is to be killed by the reactionaries and to raid the family. Chen Juyi still said without hesitation: "I know", and finally stated that Shan told him the importance of the secrets of the Conservative Party, and he only listened and nodded reverently in the face of a serious statement. He became a member of the Communist Party.

The party organization assigned him the task of collecting information and passing on intelligence under the cover of buying tofu. Connecting with him was a person who carried the burden of a cargo lang in front of the Gaotang Guild Hall, and inserted a cat baby grass code on the burden, and there was grass to indicate that there was intelligence, and no grass to mean that there was nothing to do. Since then, the entrance to the Gaotang Street Guild Hall is a necessary place for him to pass every day.

After the outbreak of the Weihua Uprising in 1928, Chen Juyi was elected as a representative of the village Soviet government and joined the village Red Guards. Under the high-pressure situation of the huge struggle against the enemy, Xue Liangchen, who was known as the "Southern Hegemon", became a bird of fright, living in a state of uncertainty all day long, and his shadow was confused, which brought difficulties to the four district party committees in attacking Xue Liangchen. Therefore, the district assigned Chen Juyi to inquire and investigate Xue Liangchen's whereabouts. During the day, he observed Xue Liangchen's "Weishengyuan" business name movements in Gaotang Street, and waited at Xue Liangchen's hometown Xue Village at night. On May 3, Chen Juyi sold tofu to Xue Village, the old housekeeper of Xue Liangchen's family came out to buy tofu and asked him to buy half of the tofu, Chen Juyi said: "How to buy so much today?" The old butler replied in a low voice, "The treasurer is coming back!" After receiving this important news, Chen Juyi hurriedly put the tofu burden home and came to a place in Xue Village that no one noticed, waiting, staring at the movements of Xue Liangchen's family. At night, the sky was drizzling, and about midnight, a group of sneaky people carrying the black shadow of the horse lantern entered the village, Chen Juyi looked at it quietly, and sure enough, Xue Liangchen went home. He immediately reported the situation to the district committee, and the cunning Xue Liangchen stepped up the vigilance of the courtyard after returning home, and as soon as the Red Guards approached, they were discovered by Jia Ding, and then a fierce battle broke out between the two sides, and Xue Liangchen jumped out.

After the failure of the Weihua Uprising, the Party organization was severely damaged and the revolution was at a low ebb. Xue Liangchen colluded with Song Zhongwu, head of the Qingxiang Branch of the Song Xie Group in Hulei Village, to arrest Communists, Red Guards, and revolutionary masses everywhere. Set fire to the houses of Chen Juyi and other Red Guards. Since then, Chen Juyi has also lost contact with the party organization.

In 1930, through the introduction of Li Lingyun and Huang Zhiwen (chief of the military section of the provincial party committee), Chen Juyi rejoined the Communist Party of China and continued to work as a traffic officer of the district party committee.

On June 29, 1933 (the seventh day of the fifth month after the lunar calendar), the Second Regiment of the Red Twenty-sixth Army went south to prepare to establish a new revolutionary base area in Lantian County, Luonan County, Weinan County, and Hua County, but was repeatedly surrounded and blocked by the enemy, and finally because the disparity between the enemy and our forces was too large, the Red Army failed, and Liu Zhidan and other revolutionary backbones were trapped in the Jianyu Mountains.

The enemy army posted a reward notice outside the mountain: "Whoever can send Liu Zhidan and others will be rewarded with two thousand pieces of yang, and those who bring guns will be rewarded with two hundred pieces of yang." "But the local people know that the Red Army is fighting the world for the poor people, Liu Zhidan is the head of the Red Army, and no one has betrayed the Red Army and Liu Zhidan."

After Chen Zhongwei (director of propaganda of the Weihua County CPC Committee) and Chen Juyi learned that Liu Zhidan and others were trapped in the mountains, they successively sent people to Jianyu in the name of collecting firewood to search for them, and also sent Song Jinchang to the Balong Temple and Qinggangping area with health pills and dry food to look for them.

On August 29, 1933 (the ninth day of the seventh lunar month of the lunar calendar), a ragged, disheveled, and wearing a torn straw hat went to Songzui Village to find Chen Juyi, and none of the masses dared to say anything about his situation. The next day, he met Song Zhichang (Song Zhongwei's brother) in Songzui Village, and after some cross-examination, he learned that his name was Wei Wu, and he had ventured out of the mountains from Liu Zhidan's side to find the underground party organization, and led Wei Wu to Chen Juyi's house. Wei Wu said, "Hurry up and find a way, the chief (Liu Zhidan) and others are hidden in the south of the Michagou Valley, eating potatoes all day long, drinking raw water, sleeping in the mountains and forests, hunger is unbearable, and life hangs in the balance." Chen Juyi immediately discussed a rescue plan with Chen Zhongwei and others, and in order to avoid the attention of the enemy, it was decided that An Yanwa of Anyao Village, who was familiar with the terrain of Niuyu, would lead the way, and Wei Wu, Chen Jugong, and others would bring enough dry food, dressed as firewoodmen to enter the mountain from Niuyu, detour back to Jianyu to find Liu Zhidan, etc., and after finding them, turn over the mountain to Jizi Mountain and wait for the answer. Chen Juyi, a traffic officer, went to Chishui and contacted the Chishui District Committee to try to help bring back a bag of flour, and branded it in his home as a "lump bun" to meet Liu Zhidan and others. After receiving the response, he first lived in the home of Chen Zhongwei's father-in-law, Zhang Xingren.

The next day, for the sake of the hidden safety of Liu Zhidan and others, Chen Zhongwei and Chen Juyi made scattered arrangements for Liu Zhidan and others to live. Chen Juyi's family lived in Wang Shitai and Wei Wu, Guo Fusheng's family lived in Gaogang and Li Jiefu, Li Shukun's family lived in Cao Shirong and Yang Weimou, Guo Tiande's family lived in Huang Ziwen, and Chen Zuopeng's family lived in Liu Zhidan.

After a period of rest by Liu Zhidan and others, the vitality was basically restored. After learning that the Wei River had fallen and could cross the river, he decided to go to Zhaojin. During Liu Zhidan's cultivation period, he formed a deep revolutionary feeling with the local people, and when he learned that they were leaving, he was reluctant to give up, in order to solve the entanglement of Liu Zhidan and his party, everyone helped each other, Song Zhongwei borrowed money from Qidoumai, Chen Juyi bought the family's cattle for 21 yuan, and borrowed Guo Tianchang's family's three acres of semi-cultivated land for 20 yuan, all as Liu Zhidan's coil. After Liu Zhidan learned of these circumstances, he was moved to tears.

Before leaving, Liu Zhidan learned that Song Zhongwu, the bully landlord of Song Xie Village, became the head of the Shangqing Township Branch after the failure of the Weihua Uprising, colluded with the head of the general regiment to kill the Communists and Red Guards, and captured the Communists Chen Jujing and the Red Guards. After brutally chopping off Chen Jujing's two feet, the two died tragically at the mouth of the bridge and ditch, extorted money from the masses, and sent dog legs into the mountains to inquire about the whereabouts of the lost Red Army, and then decided to get rid of Song Zhongwu before leaving and eliminate harm to the people.

The cunning Song Zhongwu knew that his sins were deep, and in order to protect himself, he often acted in a mysterious manner, and Liu Zhidan instructed Chen Juyi to secretly spy. On August 13, the day that Song Zhongwu welcomed his little wife, Chen Juyi knew that the opportunity had come, and the next night, after finding out that Song Zhongwu was still at home, he immediately told Liu Zhidan, who ordered Wang Shitai to act. Wang Shitai arranged for Song Zuopeng, Li Zhongping, Chen Jugong, Song Jinchang, and Liu Xiaomi to guard the gate and put up a sentry, he took Huang Ziwen and Cao Shirong into the room to kill Song Zhongwu, and as soon as the words fell, they saw Wang Shitai jump up and climb over the courtyard wall, and after a while they heard a gunshot of "bang", Wang Shitai returned to the same road, telling everyone that Song Zhongwu had died and whimpered, and everyone was very happy.

On the night of killing Song Zhongwu, Liu Zhidan was going to leave here to take care of Jin as originally planned, and everyone gathered at Chen Juyi's house. Before leaving, Liu Zhidan said to Chen Juyi, "The enemy must have been very strict on the road, here are 8 short guns, we are inconvenient to take, temporarily send your home, I will give you a letter to you later, you will send it to the Weibei Gate, hand it over to Comrades Zhang Igong and Bai Shitang, and they will hand it over to me." After the conversation, everyone accompanied Liu Zhidan and others on the road, the road was still smooth, after arriving in Chishui, and Zhao Yingkui, secretary of the Weihua County CPC Committee, picked up the head, Song Zuopeng, Chen Juyi and so on returned.

After a while, Liu Zhidan asked Chen Juyi to send the gun, Chen Juyi went to Weibei to buy persimmons as a cover, hid the gun in the middle of the straw at the bottom of the cage, and went back and forth to the Weibei Gate four times, but did not contact the person who connected the joint, and later learned that the underground party organization in Zhabei was seriously damaged, and Chen Juyi never sent it again.

Chen Juyi's family lived a very difficult life, he worked outside for many years, his wife took a man and a woman to eat and drink, begged for a living, and wandered for eight years. It was under such difficult and difficult circumstances that Chen Juyi never regretted it, and in his own words: "I never forget the revolution for a day, firmly believe that the revolution will be successful, and there will always be a day when the dark clouds are clear and the sky is clear!" This is Chen Juyi's confidence and strength, this strength makes him indestructible, this power allows him to usher in the birth of new China, ushered in today's prosperity and strength of the country and the people's peace and contentment!
