More than a dozen people, a laboratory of more than 50 square meters, 10 million yuan of funds, this is all the start of the Loongson project. However, with a passion for serving the country, researchers were stunned to create Chinese their own CPU in 2020 - Loongson No. 1.

To this end, Loongson Zhongke has realized the core technology autonomy of processor core and related IP core design, and has independently written key IP source code and independently designed circuit diagrams.
This year, Loongson Zhongke achieved a major breakthrough, and the company unveiled a completely autonomous instruction set architecture - LoongArch. The advent of LoongArch has brought more possibilities for China to get rid of its long-term dependence on ARM architecture; in terms of performance, power consumption, etc., LoongArch is not inferior to similar foreign products. 、

According to the announcement released by the Listing Committee of the Science and Technology Innovation Board on December 10, Loongson Zhongke will make its first meeting on the Science and Technology Innovation Board on December 17. In this listing, Loongson Zhongke intends to raise 3.512 billion yuan, and these funds will be invested in projects such as advanced process chips and high-performance graphics chips to inject a force into the development of Loongson.
After the listing, Loongson Zhongke will undoubtedly get more financial support, which will undoubtedly further promote the development of the company. After all, research and development is a money-burning job, and Loongson Zhongke needs to go further and need more R&D investment.
