On December 13, Dalang Town, Dongguan, Guangdong Province, found two cases of asymptomatic COVID-19 infection in a nucleic acid test for returnees from epidemic-related areas outside the province. On December 14, Dongguan City held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, briefing on the two asymptomatic cases of new crown pneumonia found in Dalang Town.

According to the press conference, two cases of asymptomatic infection of new crown pneumonia are now living in Yingfeng Ninth Street, Dalang Town, Dongguan City, returned to Dongguan from other provinces on December 5, positive nucleic acid screening on December 13, and were treated by experts as asymptomatic infected people with new crown pneumonia, and have now been transferred to Apex Hospital for treatment.

According to reports, at present, 199 close contacts of the two infected people have negative nucleic acid tests, and the large-scale nucleic acid screening results in Dalang Town are negative.
