However, if carefully analyzed, Liangshan's failure to accept Zhao'an would only lead to a worse death, and he would also need to justify Song Gongming's name.
In that environment and background at that time, in fact, Zhao'an can almost be said to be the only way to die well. Many people feel that they do not accept Zhao'an and continue to occupy Liangshan as the best policy. However, Zhao'an is the best policy, for the following reasons:
1. The problem of people's hearts
Of The 108 good men of Liang Shanbo, at least half of whom were persuaded by Song Jiang in the name of Zhao'an. Such as the five tiger generals Guan Sheng, Qin Ming, Hu Yanzhuo, Dong Ping. Although it is said that these people are also the only Song Jiang on Liangshan, it is undeniable that. These people are all well educated people, and Confucianism can be said to be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The people who had already married their wives were fine, but it was really a tragedy to not have a daughter-in-law at that time, just imagine who would send their daughter to Liangshan.
Even if the common people knew that they were all benevolent and righteous and good men, in the dynasty where Confucianism prevailed, it was impossible for anyone to marry a "thief". Moreover, at that time, many of the generals' family members and parents were on the mountain, in fact, I think there were not a few people on Liangshan who had opinions about Li Kui, and the Ruan brothers and Liu Tang all followed Chao Gai as a gang, Lu Da and Wu Song were friends, and Yan Qing only followed Lu Junyi, and was tepid with others. In the long run, people will be distracted.
2. The food problem
The problem is almost fatal. According to the book, by the time of Zhao'an, Liangshan counted the generals, family members, and various small minions, and the total number reached more than 100,000 people (Ouyang Waitang of the Liao State when attacking the Liao State said, but there should also be soldiers and horses of the imperial court). Of course, this is certainly a false finger, but it is undeniable that the population base is too large.
The problem that then arises is a serious food problem. Every time Song Jiang attacked a city, the first thing he did was to grab grain, and later he directly hit Dongping and Dongchang Erfu for grain, which showed that the grain problem was indeed very serious. 3. Strength issues
Although Liangshan is very hanging, the 108 generals are almost all able to fight. Two times he hit Tong Guan, three times he hit Gao Li, and both of them were beaten with wind and water. But an important reason is that the two fights are traitors, and there will be no war at all. Considering that the five tiger generals who can fight the most on Liangshan are all from the imperial court, there must be a lot of people in the imperial court, but they have not been excavated.
If you really anger the emperor and send a million troops to fight, in fact, it is not so difficult to fight down. Among them, I think the most hanging is that the conditions for entering Liangshan are too low, as long as you want to go up. Therefore, I felt that the imperial court was even more incompetent, and when I fought, I sent a few people to deceive, to be a traitor inside, and to cooperate with the outside, wouldn't it be unpleasant, and there was really no way to steal poison into the water. The imperial court was by no means unused, and it was only a matter of time before Liangshan was annihilated.
Based on the above analysis, in fact, Song Jiang Zhao'an is a wise choice, although it is not very willing for some leaders, under the indoctrination of traditional Chinese thought, long-term nesting in Liangshan is actually equivalent to seeking their own death.
However, in my opinion, the timing of Song Jiang's recruitment is not right, in fact, it is completely possible to avoid the result that the good man of Liangshan was killed and injured in the end.
In my imagination, Song Jiang could actually let people secretly kill the four traitors Gao Qi, Cai Jing, Tong Guan, and Yang Jian first, so that the resistance after recruiting An would be much smaller.
And from the perspective of making a big fuss in Tokyo Prefecture, Song Jiang can do this completely. But then I thought about it, although the emperor of the dynasty did not faint, but his real incompetence led to the traitor's reign, there was a small detail, as the head of the Five Tigers, Guan Sheng, such a person who could fight, in the imperial court, he was just a petty official like Pudong Inspector. It can be seen that the imperial court employs people and other systems of corruption. Even if a high-ranking person arrives, there will be other low-level, up-and-down stands up. Fundamentally, the emperor did not make a difference, and it was impossible for Song Jiang and his gang alone to contribute much to the imperial court and the world.
Then came the crux of the matter, if Song Jiang did not recruit security, nor did he continue to hide in Liangshan, but raised troops to revolt, what would be the result?
It is still a dead end, for the following reasons:
But there are only two kinds of ancient rebels, one is deliberately usurping the throne and wants to be the emperor himself, which generally ends in failure, such as the Anshi Rebellion; the other is that the emperor is obsolete and has forced the people to rebel, such as the Uprising of Chen Sheng and Wu Guang. But Song Jiang, who is precisely the middle of these two, has no objection in itself, and if he usurps the throne, there will certainly be many leaders who will not agree; and although the emperor is incompetent, he is not dim, and although the world is uneven, it is far from the point of chaos.
