Recently, in the variety show "Like! On the "Talent Show", a player from overseas, Li Baike, surprised many people. Having lived in China for 20 years, she has dubbed the English version of many well-known domestic dramas, such as "Three Lives and Three Worlds and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms", "Step by Step", "Nezha's Demon Child Descending", etc. The two roles she is most familiar with are the female number one Sun Li in "An Jia" and the "Jing Concubine" in "Langya List", which can be described as a wonderful portrait. Through the English version of the domestic film and television drama dubbed by her, it has spread to countless fans overseas.
Li Baike voiced the glory of the king
In addition to dubbing the TV series, Li Baike also voiced the game "Glory of kings". In one of the original versions of the game, "First Blood", "Double Kill", "Legendary", etc. were her voices. Recently, she began to learn to update short videos, often interacting with netizens' messages. A few days ago, Xinmin Weekly contacted Li Baike and talked to her about dubbing.

After graduation, he became a foreign teacher in his second hometown
Rebecca Williams was born in 1980 in the small town of Esperance, Australia. In 1998, 18-year-old Baike Lee attended a school in Hawaii. The school hosts an exchange session every Friday. That year, a Chinese team went to Li Baike's school to share Chinese culture. "Before that, I only knew that there was such a country as China, and I didn't have a deep understanding of China's history and culture." Li Baike recalled, "In fact, their introduction to China that day was very ordinary, but my reaction in my heart was very special, because their enthusiasm for the welcome of foreign friends lit a fire in my heart." ”

In 2001, Li Baike's University of Western Australia and China's Ocean University of China had an international student exchange program, and Li Baike's ignited heart finally found a home. As a result, Li Baike, who had just entered the third year of college, crossed the Pacific Ocean to study at Qingdao Ocean University, majoring in Chinese linguistics. At that time, there were not so many foreigners on the streets of Qingdao, and at that time, Li Baike's Chinese was not too good, so there were still certain difficulties in Li Baike communicating with qingdao locals.
In 2002, Li Baike, who graduated from college, went to Kunming and began a different life experience. Li Baike talked about his life in Kunming and was very nostalgic: "I stayed in Kunming for three days, and it felt like going home, like finding my second hometown, which was a wonderful feeling. Probably because there are many ethnic minorities in Yunnan, when I pass by as a foreigner, they will treat me as another ethnic minority and be happy to play with me and communicate with me. ”

So Li Baike stayed in Kunming and became an English speaking teacher. But after a while, Li Baike found that he was not suitable to be a teacher. "My students' English level has basically not improved, but my Chinese getting better and better every day, and I feel very unhappy." Two years later, Li Baike gave up.
Dubbing and singing, finding the direction of life in China
After finding himself unsuitable to be a teacher, Li Baike was once confused. Until she came to Beijing and was invited into the audition booth by a friend. At that time, the friend's company mainly engaged in advertising games and English teaching materials, so Li Baike's first dubbing work was to read English stories to children. "I like this very much, because when reading the story, you can also change the character and change the voice, which is very fun." After dubbing the English story for many years, Lee was invited to voice the TV series.

When Xinmin Weekly asked about the first TV series work voiced by Li Baike, she admitted that she didn't remember much anymore. "To be honest, I can't even remember what the name is, it seems to be a costume kung fu movie." At that time, I just entered the company, I didn't have much experience, and for a long time I was accompanied by some supporting roles, such as the mother of some people. But I still like it because I think it's very relaxed and happy. Slowly, more supporting roles were played, and the company found that the speed and accuracy of Li Baike's dubbing were very good, so it gradually gave her some big roles.
Watching the TV series dubbed by Li Baike, you will find that her voice is very suitable for the character image, and even one person can play the triangle. When asked by a reporter from Xinmin Weekly whether she had received sound training, Li Baike said that she did not have deliberate training and crossed the river by feeling the stones. Keep trying when dubbing until you find the right sound. Because her ability to imitate from an early age is particularly strong, when she was a child, she would often unconsciously imitate the accents of others. "If there were people from other places, my accent would become exactly the same as theirs. So when it comes to dubbing, it's easy for me to change the accent. ”
And Li Baike's empathy ability is particularly strong, and one of her most memorable dubbing experiences is crying while matching. Li Baike said that she cried because of the dubbing that time, and she herself was also surprised: "I can't remember which TV series to match, but I remember that the son raised by a woman is not her own child, and her desire to be a mother deeply touched me. ”

In addition to dubbing the TV series, Li Baike's singing voice is also very moving. She has participated in CCTV's "Vietnam War and Courage", "Global Variety Show" and other programs for many times, and also served as the lead singer of Rainbow Band. Speaking of the band, Li Baike excitedly chatted with Xinmin Weekly. Rainbow Come band was formed in late 2009 and early 2010. At the beginning of its creation, Li Baike's band was called "Rainbow Band", and it would perform four nights a week in a restaurant in a mansion. A few years later, they merged with another band. The merged band was called "Come Band", so the name of the band eventually became "Rainbow Come".

"It's interesting that we have seven members of Rainbow, which corresponds to the seven colors of the rainbow. I am the only foreigner in the band, and the other members of the band are from all over the world in China. Li Baike introduced. The band was organized by a Hong Kong uncle Bing; the band's captain and drummer was Li Yongge from Yanbian, Jilin Province; bassist Liu Jian and creative keyboardist Xu Li were a couple; keyboardist and arranger Yang Haojie; and guitarist named Meng Jinghui who sang with Li Baike.

Talking about the band's performance, Li Baike said that the past two years have been very difficult: "Since the beginning of the epidemic, we have rarely had the opportunity to perform together, because most of the performance venues have been closed. "But the band members still often get together to eat, chat together, and try to come up with some original works, and are trying to change the format of the performance."
Enrich and be happy, willing to be a bridge to spread Chinese culture
Talking about her family's views on herself as a voice actor, Li Baike said that her family is her strongest backing. "Although most of the TV series I voiced were sent to Africa, my parents didn't see them in Australia, but they also came to Beijing a few times. Every time I come to see how I work, whether it's singing or dubbing, my family is very supportive of me. ”

In addition, Li Baike also revealed that she was the second oldest in the family and was once the most introverted of the three children in the family. When she was in high school, she had a bit of an autistic personality. I don't play with others much, I don't communicate with others very well, and I often live in "my own world". Now, Li Baike has come into contact with more people because of dubbing and singing, and his personality is becoming more and more cheerful. "I can voice the TV series now, and my mother is much more secure."

Talking about her recent work, Li Baike said that she was preparing for the Chinese Bridge program. In 2008, Li Baike participated in the Chinese Bridge World College Students Chinese Competition. Li Baike felt that this show was very meaningful. Because people from various countries can carry out cultural exchanges in the program, it enhances the understanding of Chinese Chinese language and culture. "I feel like I have a mission to be a bridge. Introduce Chinese language and culture to my foreign friends. ”

When it comes to his current life in China, Li Baike feels very satisfied. At present, Li Baike shares a room with two Chinese girls, has a corgi and four cats, and helps a friend take care of two other corgis. Living with pets large and small, Li Baike's home is very lively. As a voice actor and lead singer of the band, Li Baike's working hours are also relatively free. If you have a project, you go, and if you don't have a project, you can rest at home. "If the place of work is closer to home, I will ride an electric car over. Overall, my life in China is very fulfilling and happy. ”
