Studying in China is a natural decision for Zhou Yaxin. In 1996, Zhou Yaxin crossed the ocean to the homeland where her parents could not forget, and spent a pleasant study abroad time at Beijing Language and Culture University. Zhou Yaxin's eyes were full of nostalgia: "I was the only Guyana student in my class. Classmates come from all over the world, and the experience of getting together to learn Chinese is invaluable. ”

This study abroad experience also gave Zhou Yaxin the ambition to engage in friendly exchanges between the two countries. She is pleased to say that in 2014, the University of Guyana established a Confucius Institute, and now more and more Guyana students are studying in China. "Chinese doctors are superb"

In March this year, China's covid-19 vaccine for the Guyana government arrived in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, which is the first time that the Guizhou side has received direct assistance from a foreign government, and it is also another example of the cooperation between the two countries in fighting the epidemic. Zhou Yaxin said that many developing countries have a dose of vaccines that are difficult to find, and the people of Guyana are very grateful to China for reaching out. Anti-epidemic cooperation is a microcosm of the medical and health cooperation between the two countries. Since 1993, China has sent 17 medical teams to Guyana. The story of Chinese doctors saving lives and helping the injured, Zhou Yaxin has seen a lot of it with her own eyes and heard a lot of it. She worked in the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guyana, working closely with a number of Chinese medical teams to aid Guizhou and forged a deep friendship. "I have personally seen the continuous expansion of the scale of China's medical teams to aid Guyana, which has made an important contribution to the development of health in Guyana. As ambassador to China again, Zhou Yaxin found more opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. "Every time I come to China, I feel that the change is too big.
