Why are there contactors L1 and A1 connected? What's the use?

Contactor is our equipment maintenance often used components, contactor divided into DC contactor and AC contactor, contactor coil voltage is commonly used AC 380 volts, 220 volts, DC 36 volts, 24 volts, 12 volts, etc., we use to see the contactor nameplate, coil voltage can not be wrong, to prevent burning out of the contactor coil, the contactor coil terminal for A1, A2.

Why do some contactors L1 and A1 have to be connected, and some don't? What does it do?

Most of the contactors L1 and A1 are contactors connected to AC 380V coils and contactors for AC 220V coils, and the power supply of this part of the contactor coil is shared with the main power supply. Most of the contactors L1 and A1 are not connected to DC 36 volt, 24 volt, 12 volt contactor coils, which require additional DC power supply.

I use 3 pictures to visually explain the purpose of the L1 and A1 connections.

Why are there contactors L1 and A1 connected? What's the use?

The picture above shows the AC contactor self-locking circuit with a coil of 380 volts AC

1. Through the above picture, we can see that the contactor coil voltage is AC 380V. The red phase line L1 is connected to the contactor coil A1. The green phase line passes through the start button and the contactor cable

Circle A2 connection. When the green start button is pressed, the power supply is energized by the contactor coil, and the contactor is absorbed to complete the main line conduction.

Why are there contactors L1 and A1 connected? What's the use?

The figure above shows a contactor self-locking circuit with a coil of 220 volts AC

2. Through the above figure, we can see that the zero line is connected with the contactor coil A1 through the leakage circuit breaker and the AC contactor L1, the fire line is connected with the contactor L3 through the leakage circuit breaker, the other fire line under the leakage circuit breaker passes through the circuit breaker, and the stop switch to the start button is connected to the contactor coil A2. When the green start button is pressed, the contactor coil is electrified, the contactor is absorbed, and the main line is turned on.

Why are there contactors L1 and A1 connected? What's the use?

The above figure is to supply power to the DC contactor coil through the power switch, and the DC contactor line voltage is generally 36V, 24V, 12V, etc.

3. Through the above figure, we can see that the DC contactor coil is generally converted to DC 36V, 24V, 12V voltage to supply power to the coil through the power switch, and the contactor coil is absorbed after power is obtained to complete the main circuit conduction.

Through the above three figures, we can intuitively see that the contactor coil is AC 380V, 220V, and the control power supply can be a power supply with the main power supply, that is, the connection method of L1 and A1. The coil is a contactor of DC voltage, which needs to be provided with a separate switching power supply.
