Zhangjiakou, China, December 13 (Reporter Ai Guangde) Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village is located in the ice and snow town of Prince Edward City, Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, 0.5 kilometers from The Prince Edward High-speed Railway Station. There are 31 buildings in the Village, consisting of nine courtyards and one single building, each of which is surrounded by 3 to 4 small buildings.

According to Wang Hao, an architect at the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University, the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village was conceived around the characteristics of Chinese residential houses, especially the characteristics of mountain houses in the north, when it was initially designed. Yard is a common form of house in northern China, from the Courtyard of Beijing to the courtyard of ordinary people's homes in rural areas, the yard is an important part of people's living space. Adhering to the above concept, the designer finally integrated the unique element of "yard" into the design of Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village.

The plants and statues in each courtyard are also abstract expressions based on the meaning of the Psalms.
