As the years have passed, as of today, only 61 survivors remain on the register of the Victims' Assistance Association of the Japanese Invasion of China in Nanjing.

Portrait of survivors of the Nanjing Massacre

Dare not forget, cannot forget, will not forget, the crimes of the aggressors are deeply imprinted in the soul of every Chinese son and daughter.

It was a bookless sin, the darkest page in human history. Touching the details of suffering is not to sink into the scars of the nation, but to testify to history; to gaze into the depths of history is not to perpetuate hatred, but to embrace peace. Forge ahead in pain, strengthen my China!!
