From December 13, 1937 to January of the following year, for more than 40 days, the ancient capital of Nanjing suffered an unprecedented darkness of human catastrophe: more than 20,000 rapes and gang rapes, one-third of the buildings were destroyed, countless property was plundered, more than 300,000 compatriots were bloodily slaughtered, and every 12 seconds, a life disappeared... More than 80 years later, the witnesses have gradually withered away, and at present, there are only 61 registered survivors of the Nanjing Massacre. Today, the Memorial Hall of the Compatriots Killed in the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese Army Invading China held a national memorial ceremony, no matter where you are, when you hear the sound of the alarm, please stop and bow your head and mourn for the compatriots who were killed.
