The program said that unlike other early national capital ruins in China, the Yin Xu Palace Temple Area has not yet found the city wall, and there seems to be no concern about foreign invasion. Where does the self-confidence of "Dayi Shang" come from?
The reporter learned that since 2016, about 10 kilometers northeast of the core area of Yin Ruins, the Xindian ruins have been found, with a total area of about 1 million square meters, which is the only large-scale late Shang Dynasty cast copper site found so far, and it is also one of the most important settlement cities outside the core area of Yin Ruins.
The bronzes excavated from the site often have the inscription "Ge" on it, indicating that the "Ge" ethnic group is the actual controller of this settlement, the functional division of the site is clear, and the emergence of a large number of tombs, relics related to cast copper and large house foundations indicates that the site is a settlement site with a unified social form of "residence, burial and production". The discovery of the Xindian site has made Yindu a real "Dayi Shang" and broken through the traditional cognitive scope of "Dayi Shang" based on the core area.
Since 2019, 2.4 kilometers southeast of the ruins of the Yin Ruins Palace Zongmiao, the Ruins of Shaojiapeng have been discovered, and the tomb bronze inscriptions found at the site are mostly found with the word "book", and it is preliminarily judged that the site should be an important area for the living and living of the "book" ethnic group in the Shang Dynasty, and it is still a settlement site form in which the residence and burial are integrated. Such as the Ruins of Shaojiapeng and The Ruins of Xindian, etc., are distributed in more than ten large settlement sites with inscriptions on the outskirts of the core area of Yin Ruins.
Li Xiaoyang, director of the Anyang Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, said that this year, about 7.2 kilometers northeast of the ruins of the Yin Xu Palace, the taojiaying site was found. The site is one of the few known sites of the ring trench settlement in the middle of the Shang Dynasty, and the remains of ring trenches, tombs, ash pits, pottery kilns, cellars, rammed earth foundation sites, etc. have been found, which is a high-specification settlement site with defensive properties, and is speculated to be an important companion (Wei) city in the Middle Shang Period.
In addition, the study of the scope of Wangling District has achieved significant results, with the newly discovered outer trenches and a large number of sacrificial pits; the archaeological work of Huanbei Shangcheng has continued to advance, and a large number of bone-making and pottery workshop remains and relics have been found, filling the gap in the Ducheng Hand Industrial Park in the middle of the Shang Dynasty and highlighting the superb and unique pottery-making technology.

Li Xiaoyang said that the archaeology of Yin Ruins is still continuing, and he believes that new discoveries in the future will provide new research directions and physical materials for the layout, social system, concept and customs of Dayi Shangduyi.
