In order to solve the problem of difficulty in collecting evidence caused by the epidemic, under the full guidance and support of the Legal Corps of the Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Rongchang police have drawn elite police forces from the legal system, Science and Information Technology and other police departments to form a technical team to focus on innovative research and development of "remote inquiry" evidence collection tools. Through one year of technical research and research demonstration, the legal effect of the "remote inquiry" evidence collection tool to obtain evidence has been recognized by the Chongqing Municipal High People's Court, the Municipal Procuratorate, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the Municipal Bureau of Justice. In August 2021, the Rongchang police "remote interrogation" forensic tool was officially piloted.
On August 19, 2021, the police handling the case questioned Ms. Zhang who was far away in Hubei through the "remote interrogation" evidence collection tool.
