In the last issue, I recommended five movies based on real cases, and today I continue to recommend the remaining five to you.
Part VI: Wolf Creek
Australian 2005 film by director Craig McLean

I have recommended several Korean and American films, so let's recommend a film from another country. Wolf Creek National Park is a tourist attraction in Australia, and this movie is named after the place.
This movie is indeed much less famous for the previously recommended films, the production is not so sophisticated, and the cast is not luxurious.
But why this movie is recommended, first, this film has a special meaning for the recommender himself. In a way, this movie is the enlightenment of my own B-grade films. Second, the film's case archetype is quite amazing in terms of the number of victims, the level of cruelty, and the level of terror.
First of all, a brief introduction to the movie, three (two women and a man) young backpackers came to the beautiful Wolf Creek country to visit the very famous crater, when they finished their tour and wanted to go home, they found that the compass failed, the car also broke down, watching the night fall, the three people who had no way to go could only crowd in a small car to spend the night, just at this time a kind-looking local passed by, he not only enthusiastically said that he could help them repair the car, but also invited them to their home for the night... How to follow up, there is no need to go into detail, the routine of the classic battle royale movie.
But unlike traditional horror battle royale films, the ultimate survivors of other genres are often women, but this film does the opposite, with two women all dying and the only man surviving.
Why this movie ended like this, we have to mention the adapted prototype of the film: the Australian backpacker killer - Ivan Milat.
Australia is a sparsely populated country with beautiful natural landscapes and is a must for many backpackers, but because of this, nearly 30,000 people are missing in Australia every year, and a large part of them are backpackers. Ivan Milat, known as the Australian backpacker killer, from the beginning of the police investigation to the end of his imprisonment, there are dozens of backpacker travelers who can confirm that he has killed, and he often uses the excuse of hitchhiking, helping to repair the car, guiding the way and other excuses to trick the victim into the car, and then kill.
The only one who escaped from his hands was a British male traveler, which is why the survivors of the final film are men.
This movie and this real event tell us not only to indulge in the current beauty when traveling, but also to be careful of the dangers that may arise around you at any time.
Part VII: The Itaewon Murders
South Korea 2009 film directed by Hong Ki-sun
Some friends must say how to be a Korean movie again, Crystal can only say that there are indeed many Korean movies of this type, and second, this movie is very different from other films of the same type. Other films generally focus on finding and apprehending the killer, but the facts are fairly clear when the case occurs, but it is impossible to identify the murderer and convict him, so it will be particularly different in the same type of film.
Let's start with Itaewon, a very famous and bustling place in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, where many immigrants and expatriates gather, and the case occurred in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant in Itaewon.
One day in April 1997, an ordinary college student went to the bathroom of a fast food restaurant and never came out again, and when he was found, he had already fallen into the bathroom with several knives. After the incident, the police found that at the same time that the college student was killed, two young men also appeared in the bathroom at the same time, and immediately arrested the two suspects.
At first, the two suspects denied committing the crime, but then the police found the murder weapon on one of them, and the two actually changed their confessions at the same time, identifying each other as the murderer. With no direct evidence to support their testimony, and because both were both Americans, the South Korean police have been unable to convict them. In the end, only one person was acquitted, and one was sentenced to 1 year and six months in prison for possession of a murder weapon.
It was a very obvious case of intentional homicide, and the two suspects brutally murdered an innocent promising college student just to find a reason to provoke, but they could only be sentenced to a year and a half in prison for possessing a murder weapon, which made the victim's family and the South Korean people angry.
In 2009, South Korean filmmakers adapted the case into a movie and put it on the screen, so that more people knew about the case, so the South Korean police restarted the case, and after many difficulties, re-extradited one of the more suspected people, that is, the person who held the murder weapon, back to South Korea, and sentenced to 20 years in prison, which is also an account for the victim and the victim's family.
Part VIII Charlie said
American 2019 film by Director Mary Harlan
Charles Manson is a man who will not go unnoticed in the entire history of American crime, and the entire American society calls him "the most dangerous killer." He and his Manson family committed several homicidal murders in the United States in the 1960s, including the murder of the wife of Polanski, the great Hollywood director.
Charlie said the film depicts three women in the Manson family who have been convicted of crimes in prison to revisit them and their family's nightmarish crimes during this particular period of history. The film's entry point is novel, through the outsider identity of the third party to lead the audience to understand the three Manson family women, from innocent and innocent girls to abusers, and finally into real victims.
Compared with other crime genre films, this movie invests a lot of space in dissecting the characters, so there will be some fatigue for moviegoers, if you don't like this movie, you still want to talk about this history and Charles. Manson knew something and suggested that he could also watch a more famous movie, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
Part IX: The Doubts of the Changing Son
American 2008 film by Director Clint Eastwood
The film, starring Angelina Jolie, a hollywood beauty, tells the story of a working-class single mother, Christina, who lost her child and went through all her life to find her own lost child.
The heroine returned home from work to find that her only son was missing, and she could only turn to the police for help, at first the police did not file a case for less than 24 hours after the disappearance, and although the follow-up was accepted, there was no progress for a long time. It wasn't until 5 months after the child was lost that the police suddenly notified her son that she had been found, and she rushed to the train station to pick up her child, but when she saw the child, she realized that things were not so simple...
The film is based on the famous "Chicken Coop Murder" in American history.
The Chicken Coop Murders were a series of child kidnappings and murders that occurred in Riverside County, Los Angeles, California, in 1928, and Walter Collins disappeared on March 10, 1928, on his way to the cinema. The disappearance of this little boy attracted the attention of the people of the whole country, the police still found nothing after many searches, 5 months later a boy ran up to say that he was Walter Collins, the police in order to close the case and calm the anger of the people declared that the boy was Walter Collins, but only Walter Collins's mother knew that it was not her son, she went to the police station to explain the situation, but the police sent her to a mental hospital for insanity.
It is because of this mother's constant search for the truth that the murderer of the chicken coop can finally be exposed, after investigation, it is confirmed that the murderer killed at least 20 boys in his chicken farm, he first played with the abducted boy, then used the axe of the chicken to cut the body, lime was destroyed, the bones were spilled into the desert, and after the case was decided, he was sentenced to hanging.
But this poor mother never found her child again in her life.
Part 10: Rescue Mr. Wu
Chinese 2015 film directed by Ding Sheng
At the end of this issue, a domestic movie is introduced, that is, "Rescue Mr. Wu" released in 2015. Based on the true case of the kidnapping of actor Wu Ruofu in 2004, the film tells a thrilling story in which the police rescue "Mr. Wu" and the kidnappers for 20 hours, and finally the hostages are safely rescued and the criminals are brought to justice.
There is no special need to explain the film, the only thing I want to say is the actor who plays the leader of the kidnappers: Wang Qianyuan, in the film, he will show the kidnapper's empty-eyed, six relatives do not recognize, cold-blooded and cruel, sinister and cunning gangster personality vividly displayed, every move, facial expression into the wood three points, impressive.
According to the custom, let's briefly talk about the real case, at more than 2:00 a.m. on February 3, 2004, the famous actor Wu Ruofu and several friends had just finished talking about things and came out of a bar in Chaoyang District, and suddenly several strange men appeared in front of them. They claimed to be policemen, handcuffed Wu Ruofu, and in the blink of an eye, Wu Ruofu was pulled into the car by the men and flew away, and by the time his friend reacted and dialed the 110 police call, the other party was long gone.
After being tracked down by the police, it was confirmed that it was the criminal gang headed by Wang Hua who kidnapped Wu Ruofu, and after unsemphasable efforts, the kidnappers were finally arrested and brought to justice, and the hostages were safely rescued. Three of the main perpetrators were sentenced to death and executed in September 2005.
