The holding of the first "Bay Area Cup" China Go Masters Tournament in 2021 aims to build a Platform for Cultural Exchange and Mutual Learning of Go, build a Soft Power Base for Go Culture, and build a Highland of Go Culture through the creation of IP of high-level Go professional tournaments.

With a total prize money of 892,000 yuan, it is one of the important "title battles" of Chinese professional Go and one of the highest professional Go tournaments in China.

The contestants ranked in the top 31 of the latest ranking points for Chinese professional Go players, as well as the specially invited Shenzhen Bao'an District chess player Rong Yi, a total of 32 people, including Ke Jie, Gu Zihao, Xinke Jiuduan Ding Hao and other well-known chess players.

The tournament determines the opponent by lottery, and 32 chess players are caught and killed in pairs, and they are eliminated by single defeat. The preliminary round will be held in Beijing from December 24 to 26, and the top eight players will be selected from December 28 to 30 in Shenzhen for the final.

In addition to the "Bay Area Cup" Chinese Go Master Tournament, a series of peripheral activities such as the Bao'an District Go Culture Forum, Go Multi-Faceted Play, Duo Chess Tournament, Go into the Campus, and Community will be held to attract social groups to widely participate in Go cultural activities.
