In china, on the boundaries between provinces and provinces, a sign is usually set up, which reads "XX provincial boundary", and on the provincial boundary, it is often a road, a river, a lake or a mountain range and so on. But today we are talking about jiepai villages that span Guangdong and Guangxi provinces; sitting on the provincial boundary of the village, it is an old house of the Qing Dynasty with a history of 300 years. In the words of the locals, it is ridiculed that it is two steps away from the province.

Jiepai Village, as the name suggests, is located on the border of the two provinces. It is specifically located in Jinya Town, Xinyi City, Guangdong Province; at the other end, it is connected to Yangcun Town, Rong County, Guangxi Province. The two villages are closely linked, and the Jiepai Village in Guangdong is generally known as the "Shangjie Pai Village" locally, and the part belonging to Guangxi is called the "Lower Boundary Pai Village", and both Jiepai Villages are surnamed Li. At the junction of the two provinces, it can be said that there are many interesting things. Locals often "travel" to and from Guangxi and Guangdong more than a dozen times a day, and the mobile phone signals of the two Guangzhous will also switch frequently.

Located at the junction of the two Jiepai villages, there is an old mansion called "Chunying Gong Ancestral Residence". The old mansion was built in the 28th year of the Kangxi Dynasty and has a history of 332 years. Due to its special geographical location, it is well-known in the local area, and many people have specially sought out to visit Changjian, just to satisfy their curiosity and experience its legendary color up close.

The old mansion is built on a mountain, which is a enclosed courtyard made of green bricks and black tiles. Covering an area of about 1,000 square meters, the building is divided into two parts, front and back, and there is a row of two-storey buildings on each side of the patio. The eaves, the patterns on the tiles, the tall wooden pillars and the carved decorations on the beams still exude the quaint atmosphere of hundreds of years ago. The solid family foundation of the past owner can also be seen. In front of the old mansion is a suddenly cheerful field, surrounded by mountains in the distance, and the mountains and rivers are beautiful.

Today, this famous and legendary century-old house has long been empty, old and mottled, barren grass, and the unconcealed desolation is lonely, which makes people sigh endlessly. What is even more bizarre is that Chunying Gongzu once lived in a pair of brothers, the brothers grew up together under this roof since childhood, but the provincial nationality is different, one belongs to Guangdong, the other belongs to Guangxi. Due to the different nationalities in the provinces, when the families were separated later, the development opportunities and destinies of the two people were also different. Therefore, there is a local saying: "One house spans two provinces, and the brothers are west and east".

This is not a special case. In the 300 years since the house was built, the descendants of Chun Ying Gong have stretched for more than a dozen generations. They were born and raised in this building. According to posterity, the household registration of the brothers of the same ethnic group in the row of houses on the left side of the entrance is Guangdong, and the household registration of the brothers of the same ethnic group living in the row of houses on the right is guangxi. Although they are different from different provinces, when they were young, they played together in the old house every day, speaking the same dialect, and the customs and habits were the same.

In 2003, the brothers, with their families, gathered together to renovate the old house. Although the two places are separated, no matter where they go, they always have blood thicker than water and their homeland is in their hearts. This century-old house located on the border between the two provinces truly interprets the brotherhood and family feelings of "two Guangzhou and one family".
