Born in January 1967, Li Xiangguo has been fighting in the front line of public security work since 26 years ago, successively serving as a section member of the political department of the Xianghe County Public Security Bureau, deputy director of the political department, director of the office, and director of the detention center. In the eyes of colleagues, Li Xiangguo is a meticulous and even somewhat unkind person. "He just has a sharp temper, and he can't pull back ten cows when he sees things, so he wants to do his job and become a policeman." Speaking of her husband, who did not want to die at work, Yang Jingmin still remembers it vividly.
"I'd rather hurt my relatives and friends than break the rules!" People who are familiar with Li Xiangguo know that if you want to entrust people and go through the back door, it will definitely not work in his case. After becoming the director of the detention center in February 2013, Li Xiangguo made a solemn commitment at the first plenary session: "We are a family, and I will definitely be with you every New Year's Festival." A promise, he has never reneged on his word in 7 years, 7 Mid-Autumn Festival, 8 Chinese New Year's Eve he has not eaten a meal at home.
Work is work, but Li Xiangguo in life is a "warm-hearted" big brother. "Whoever has a big deal and a small affair, he is particularly attentive, and whoever has difficulties will take the initiative to help." Unable to rest assured of the house, they had to hurry back to Xianghe again. In 2018, his lover Yang Jingmin was hospitalized for 7 days for illness and surgery, and Li Xiangguo only squeezed time to go to the hospital twice, and he has always been his son's bedside.

Due to the severe situation of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in the Spring Festival of 2020, the special environment of the prison and the density of personnel, once infected, it is bound to cause widespread spread and spread, and the consequences are unimaginable. In accordance with the requirements of "the epidemic prevention standard of the prison is higher than the social standard", Li Xiangguo launched the "top matching operation procedure" for epidemic prevention and control at the first time, and strictly took him into the detention center for physical examination and body temperature detection. At the beginning of the epidemic, the materials were tight, so he contacted his friends and classmates and tried every means to buy masks, disinfectants, etc., and comprehensively eliminated the house. He adjusted his duties: the whole firm was divided into three teams, each shift taking turns to be on duty in the prison area for 15 days. And he put himself in the "fourth shift" - the whole time on duty. Li Xiangguo has a TV in the office of the director, running 24 hours a day, connected to the surveillance cameras in all corners of the institute, Li Xiangguo stares at any time, and if there is a situation, he uses the radio to talk with the police in the prison area. For 13 days and nights during the pandemic, he hardly closed his eyes.
At about 00:30 on February 6, 2020, Wei Zhanhuan, an auxiliary police officer who was also on the second floor of the office building, heard an abnormal noise and got up and ran to the director's office next door: Li Xiangguo, a 53-year-old director, fell to the ground with his head down, unable to move. Wei Zhanhuan quickly dialed 120 and carried Li Xiangguo to the ambulance with the police on duty. After the diagnosis of the hospital, Li Xiangguo had cerebral hemorrhage, and the amount of bleeding reached 51 ml. In a critical condition, he was sent to Beijing overnight for treatment, rescued in the intensive care unit for half a month, and finally escaped from the danger of life.
At present, Li Xiangguo's left limb function is limited, and he undergoes daily rehabilitation training with the help of his wife. "Until now, he often wakes up at three o'clock in the morning, and has formed a habit at work for many years: he wakes up in the middle of the night to go on patrols, and he has never slept overnight." Li Xiangguo still remembers the police career he loves, and his biggest hope is that his body will recover as soon as possible and he can wear his beloved "police blue" again.
