On December 7, 2021, the opening ceremony of the First-class Referee Training Class of the Chinese Football Association, sponsored by the Hubei Football Association and hosted by the Xiaogan Football Association, was held at the Xiaogan Sports Center. The training course lasted for 5 days, and 24 trainees from all over the province participated in the training course to learn about the latest adjudication rules and continuously improve the ability of adjudication and the level of law enforcement.
Present at the opening ceremony of the training course were Xia Qing, deputy director of the Football Sports Management Center of the Hubei Provincial Sports Bureau, Niu Jinshan, lecturer of the Chinese Football Association, Zhang Zheng, lecturer of the referee of the Chinese Football Association, Ma Erlong, head of the Sports Management Section of the Xiaogan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Li Peng, director of the Technical Department of the Hubei Football Association, and Yu Yang, president of the Xiaogan Football Association. Zhou Lun, deputy secretary general of Xiaogan Football Association, presided over the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Xia Qing, deputy director of the Football Sports Management Center of Hubei Provincial Sports Bureau, and Yu Yang, president of Xiaogan Football Association, signed a hosting agreement on the spot.
In order to further strengthen the construction of the referee team in Hubei Province, this training course specially invited Niu Jinshan, a referee lecturer of the Chinese Football Association, to xiaogan to teach the students of this training course, and Zhang Zheng, a referee lecturer of the Chinese Football Association, also participated in the teaching of this training course.
Theoretical lectures
This course is carried out in strict accordance with the training outline of the Chinese Football Association referees, combines theory and practice, and organizes the trainees to carry out special training such as physical training, assistant referee running and offside training, and judging offside fouls. Participants in the training course are required to pass physical fitness tests, theoretical and practical assessments.
