The fire commander arrived at the scene at 10:58 a.m. to see that the woman was hanging from the 6th to the 7th floor, clutching the outer window guardrail with both hands.
In a hurry, the fire commanders and fighters immediately divided into three ways: the demolition tool group demolished the door and carried out rescue inside; the rescue gas cushion was laid on the first floor to prevent the rescued personnel from falling down physically weakly; and the ladder truck also immediately carried out outdoor rescue. According to people familiar with the matter, the woman was doing housework at home alone at the time of the incident, and accidentally fell from the 9th floor while drying clothes, but fortunately she grabbed the protective window on the 7th floor in time. "The woman persisted on it for dozens of minutes, but fortunately the fire arrived in time to save her." Witnesses said. According to a firefighter involved in the rescue at the scene, the woman was stuck between the 6th and 7th floors, and she was clutching the protective window on the 7th floor.
Why did the woman fall from the upper floor? The fire department said it was unclear. However, the reporter noted that some residents in the community use retractable drying racks to dry clothes and bedding outside the windows, which has certain safety risks.
