Since November 30, the shield section of Longcheng Avenue East Station of the first phase of Taiyuan Rail Transit Line 1 has officially started, which is also the second tunnel boring operation of the entire line of Metro Line 1 after the tunnel boring operation between Dongtaibao Station and Nanneihuan East Street Station on September 15.

The reporter learned that the Taiyuan Rail Transit Line 108, which was built by the 17th Bureau of China Railway, has a total of two subway stations, namely Longcheng Avenue East Station and Wusu Airport Station, and the section line extends from Center Street East Station to the south in an S-shaped extension. Among them, Longcheng Avenue East Station to Wusu Airport Station is the longest section of metro line 1, with a length of 2.73 kilometers, in order to ensure the progress, the construction party selected the wind well between the two stations as the node, and four shield machines excavated from the left and right directions at the same time.
Li Yunpeng, chief engineer of Taiyuan Rail Transit Line 108, said: The starting point is from the section wind well to the right line of the Ma Lianying access section, the total length is 936 meters, and the stations at both ends do not have the starting conditions.
The reporter learned that the shield machine is composed of a cutterhead, a shield body, and a trolley in the rear, which looks like a long dragon, however, this narrow wind well does not have the space for the dragon to "play to the fullest", and the construction party has also taken corresponding measures.
Li Yunpeng, chief engineer of the 108 standard of Taiyuan Rail Transit Line 1, said: We now see three trolleys on the ground, and there are pipelines one after another, which are to connect the shield machine, and some of the oil pressure, hydraulics, and electrical functions provided by the normal start. Why are three trolleys placed on the ground, because our entire shield machine is 84 meters long, and the total length of this section wind shaft is 60.8 meters, which cannot meet the requirements of the overall starting, so we have to place the other three trolleys on the ground.
In addition, when this "shield dragon" is excavated underground, it needs to pass through silty clay and underground water layers, and the geological conditions are more complicated, so how to ensure that in the construction of shields, the settlement of surrounding ground structures and buildings is controlled within the standard range, which is also a problem that the construction party needs to consider.

At present, the first shield machine in the 108 Biaolongwu section has entered a stable operation state, and next, the construction party will also actively carry out preparatory work to lay the foundation for the remaining three shield boring in the interval, so as to ensure that Metro Line 1 can be put into operation as scheduled.
