Milan are interested in Mirenkovic and Luis Felipe, the former with a 15 million buyout clause

After a serious injury to Kyard, Milan are likely to bring in a new centre-back in the transfer market in January, according to The Milan Sport, the potential targets of the Rossoneri include Fiorentina centre-back Mirenkovic, Lazio centre-back Luis Felipe, as well as some young players from foreign leagues.

In fact, Milan's first thought was to reclaim loan centre-back Caldara, who has performed well in Venice this season, which is the cheapest solution for Milan, but Caldara's injury attributes have worried the club, and Venice is not willing to release people, so it may not be the most ideal choice. Other internal mining options include reusing Gabia and Kalulu, and while manager Pioli trusts these young players, the club still needs to spend real money to keep the title prowess.

If Milan were to make an investment, Mirenkovic's name would catch on again, with the Rossoneri having watched the Serbs a year or two ago, when Fiorentina asked for 40 million euros, but now it can be won at a low cost, as last season's players added a 15 million euro buyout clause to the renewal of the contract with the Purple Lily, which is a good option for Milan in line with Elliott's policy.

Another hot name is Lazio centre-back Luis Felipe, whose Brazilian contract expires in June 2022, and while it's not easy to convince Lazio to release in the winter, never say never. Milan are also eyeing some young players, such as Monaco's talented centre-back Benoit Badiashile, who is worth as much as 30 million, but investing in young people is in line with the club's approach to reinforcements, while cheaper options include Zurich centre-back Becir Omeragic, who is 19 years old and is worth around 12 million.
