If things drag on for too long, things will change, and the tragedy of Dou Wu's murder will be repeated! He Jin then appointed Yuan Shao as a lieutenant colonel, with the power to arrest or execute criminals without asking for instructions. He also appointed Wang Yun, who was engaged in Zhonglang, as the Yin of Henan. Yuan Shao ordered his subordinates to scout the eunuchs, and urged Dong Zhuo and others to send emissaries to play urgently, claiming to march to Pingliang on the song. Now that Dong Zhuo is coming soon, why don't you go back to your own feudal kingdom as soon as possible! Yuan Shao advised He Jin to take advantage of this opportunity to exhaust the net, so that he repeatedly stated the reason, but He Jin did not allow it. Yuan Shao also used official documents to inform the state and county governments, under the pretext of He Jin, to arrest the relatives of eunuchs everywhere.
He Jin's conspiracy was too long and leaked a lot. The eunuchs were terrified and wanted to change the situation. Zhang Rang's daughter-in-law was Empress He's sister, and Zhang Rang bowed to her and pleaded: "I am now guilty of guilt, and it is reasonable for the whole family to return to my hometown." Thinking that my family has received the grace of the emperor for generations, and now I want to stay away from the palace, my heart is in love. I would like to enter the palace again to serve, so that I can temporarily see the empress, accept the color, and then retreat to the ravine, and die without resentment! The daughter-in-law interceded with her mother, WuYangjun, who entered the palace to intercede with Empress He. Therefore, Empress He issued an edict and asked all the attendants to re-enter the palace to serve. On August 25, 189, the first year of Guangxi(189), He entered the Changle Palace and told Empress He to kill all the Zhongchang attendants. Zhang Rang, Duan Jue, and others discussed: "The great general He Jin claimed to be ill, did not participate in the funeral of the former emperor, did not send him to the cemetery, and now suddenly entered the palace, what is the intention of this?" Could it be that the Dou Wu incident was to be repeated? "Send someone to eavesdrop on the conversation of He Jin's brothers and sisters, and learn all the contents of the conversation." So he led dozens of his henchmen, armed with weapons, to sneak in through the side door and ambush under the temple door. When he came in and out, he summoned him under false pretenses of the Empress's will. He entered the palace and sat in the province. So Zhang Rang and the others rebuked He Jin and said, "The chaos in the world is not only the sin of our eunuchs. Emperor Xiandi was once angry with the empress dowager, almost deposed the empress, we shed tears to rescue, each of us gave tens of millions of family wealth as a gift, so that the emperor eased down, just to support yourself under your door. Isn't it too much for you to want to kill us now? So Shangfang Jianqu Mu drew his sword and killed He Jin in front of the Xide Hall. Tiger Ben Zhonglang attacked the palace together with Yuan Shu and Wu Kuang, slashing the palace gate with a knife, while Zhonghuangmen and others held weapons to defend the palace gate. At dusk, Yuan Shu then set fire to the Qingzhuo Gate of the Southern Palace, hoping to threaten the palace to hand over Zhang Rang and others. Zhang Rang and the others went to the harem to inform Empress He, saying: "The subordinates of the great general He Jin rebelled, set fire to the palace, and attacked Shangshumen. They coerced Empress He, the Young Emperor Liu Jie, and Liu Xie, the Prince of Chenliu, and abducted other officials in the palace and fled from the Tianqiao Pavilion Road to the North Palace. Shangshu Lu Zhi stood under the window of the Pavilion Road with Chang Ge in his hand, looked up and reprimanded Duan, Duan was frightened and scared, so he let go of Empress He, and Empress He jumped from the window and was spared. Yuan Shao and his uncle Yuan Kui falsely preached the Holy Will, summoned Fan Ling and Xu Xiang, and beheaded them. Yuan Shao and He Miao and others led troops to garrison Zhu Yumen and captured Zhao Zhong and others and beheaded them. Wu Kuang and others had always resented He Miao for not sharing the same heart with He Jin, and suspected that he was colluding with the eunuchs, so they ordered the army to say: "The person who killed the great general is the che riding general He Miao, can the generals avenge the great general?" On August 27, Zhang Rang, Duan Jue, and others were trapped in the palace, and there was nothing they could do, so they had to take Liu Wei, Liu Xie, and dozens of other people out on foot.
