Suining, China News Network, December 1 (Zou Liyang Qu Chaoying) "A piece of porcelain is the mark of time, and a bowl and a bowl can see the echo of history." On November 30, the field archaeological survey of the Suining section of the Fujiang River Basin was officially launched. Subsequently, the archaeological survey team found a Song Dynasty kiln site on the bank of the Zi River in Suining City.

The kiln site is located near the kiln fort in Shuangmiao Village, Tianxian Town, Shehong City, and is located on the left bank of the Zijiang River on a three-level terrace. The archaeological investigation team found a large number of artifact fragments under 60 centimeters of the ground surface, showing black, brown, yellow, green and other glaze colors, and identified bowls, bowls and other utensils, as well as gaskets, pad cakes, cassettes and other kiln tools.

According to the archaeological survey team, the cultural appearance of the kiln site here is consistent with the Longfeng kiln on Chuanshan Mountain. This is an important new discovery that truly reflects the local social production situation in the Song Dynasty. In the near future, the investigation team will continue to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth investigation of the kiln site.

It is understood that the investigation of the Suining section began with the Zijiang River, a first-class tributary of the Fujiang River. Mainly underground remains, in the Pingba and second- and third-level terraces on both sides of the Zijiang River, the focus of the investigation is focused on the Bashu cultural sites of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, and in the slopes along the slopes of the Pingba and the nearby gentle slopes, the main investigation is the ruins of the Han, Wei, Tang and Song Dynasties and the areas that may be buried.

The Zijiang River, also known as the Zitong River, is the largest and most important tributary of the Fujiang River. It originates from Dazhu Bay in the southeast foothills of Datouyan in longmen mountains, Yanmen Township, northwest of Jiangyou City, and flows into the FuJiang River through Mianyang Jiangyou, Zitong, Santai and Yanting, and joins the Fujiang River in Wangjiazui, Longbaoshan, Shehong Guangxing Town. The flow is 340 kilometers, the basin area is 5200 square kilometers, accounting for 1/7 of the area of the Fujiang River basin, and the low mountains, hills and flat dam areas flowing through it have been the promised land for human settlement since ancient times.

The two teams of this field archaeological survey are composed of experts and technicians from Suining Cultural Relics Protection Institute and Shehong City Cultural Relics Management Institute. The survey begins with the collection and analysis of the archaeological results, historical documents and maps, as well as geological and hydrological data in the proposed survey area.

The two teams will unfold along the banks of the Zi River, advancing simultaneously and coordinating with each other. Ground surveys were carried out in the proposed survey area, local guides were consulted, stratigraphic sections were sought, and ground specimens were collected. Properly level sections or drill individual holes to understand the extent and build-up of remains. The specific content includes the location, scope and area of the survey object, accumulation status, cultural appearance, age, environment and preservation status.

At the same time, the archaeological survey team will make survey records in three forms: text, surveying and mapping, and imagery. For important inscriptions and inscriptions, rubbing and recording should be carried out under the premise of ensuring the safety of cultural relics. (End)
