Mention bao gong everyone is not unfamiliar, right? Bao Gong's name Was bao zheng (包拯), also spelled Xiren ,Luzhou Hefei(河人), also known as Feidong, present-day Hefei, Anhui.
He was a famous minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, and successively served as the prefect of Kaifeng Province, the secretary of Dali Temple, and the inspector of imperial history. Before Bao Gong's debut, he served as the Commander of Tianchang County, and the "cattle tongue cutting case" he judged was the first case before he became famous, after which Bao Gong had the reputation of judging the case like a god.

In fact, "drumming and shouting injustice" has a historical development process, and not every dynasty allows ordinary people to beat drums and shout injustice.
For example, in the Qing Dynasty, drumming and shouting injustice had to bear the punishment of scepter blame, and the purpose of the government was to raise the threshold of drumming, and you were not willing to bear the pain of spanking for trivial matters, just take ordinary procedures.
Drumming and shouting injustice is done only when a major case occurs.
Bao Gong was not sluggish, and hurriedly put down his rice bowl and went to the court to try the case. After questioning, the complaint was filed against an old farmer named Wang Zhuangshi in Donghu Town, who cried that his cattle had been cut off their tongues last night.
Bao Zheng was taken aback. The cutting of the cow's tongue is not a big case now, and it is not a trivial matter in the Northern Song Dynasty.
The cow had its tongue cut off and could not eat, leaving only a dead end. One might say that if a cow dies and eats beef, it's not the end.
But that's not the case, in ancient times, cattle were military materials for the imperial court, and cow skins were used as armor for soldiers, so it was said that without the approval of the imperial court, ordinary people killed cattle against the law.
The Song Dynasty code clearly stipulated: "Whoever kills cattle without incident is sentenced to one year in prison."
In general, whether it is theft or cattle killing by owners, it is not allowed.
Look at the old man's heart and tears, the cow is hurt, how to do the work in the field in the future? The key is how to deal with dead cows? Cultivating cattle is his lifeblood, if he can't catch the murderer and lose so much, what will happen in the future?
The wicked are the tongue of the cattle that is cut at night, and the gods are unconscious, where to catch the wicked? No clue how can this case be solved?
Just when I couldn't figure it out, Bao Zheng's eyes lit up, why don't I do this, so and so...
Then he said to the old man who was kneeling in front of the hall: "You go back first, don't be silent about reporting the matter to the officials, and when you go back, you will slaughter the cattle and take them to the market to sell, and then the evil man will come to surrender." At the end, Bao Zheng told the old man that he must not tell anyone about the matter of suing the official.
Back at home, the old man hesitated, although there was a Bao County order, the old man still did not dare to kill the cattle, because it involved breaking the law.
Just when he was in a dilemma, Dynasty Mahan was ordered by Bao Gong to quietly tell the old man: "Lord Bao has an order, today the cattle are slaughtered and decomposed into pieces, and tomorrow the market will set up stalls to sell meat." After the old man listened, he no longer worried that killing cattle would be punished.
Early the next morning, the old man pushed a cart with beef to the market to sell.
If you think about it, ordinary people can't kill cattle at will, because things are rare and expensive, and beef has become a rarity. Ten to ten hundred people know that Wang Laohan killed cattle and sold beef.
Due to the advertising effect, the beef looks like it is about to be sold out, and the scene of the evil person naturally appearing in Bao Gong's mouth has not appeared for a long time, until the beef is sold out, and the old man is completely disappointed and begins to suspect the plan of Lord Bao.
The next day, many people suddenly came to the gate, but instead of surrendering as bao Zheng said, the evil man surrendered, but sued Wang Laohan for killing cattle.
It turned out that in order to prevent ordinary people from killing cattle privately, the Song Dynasty law issued a provision to report the reward for killing cattle, and these complaints were for the purpose of reward.
Bao Gong concluded that the wicked man who cut the bull's tongue was among these people.
Next, Bao Gong was silent, asking the master to write down the names and addresses of these people and tell them to verify that the bounty would be issued to individuals after verification.
The crowd dispersed, and Bao Zheng ordered the servants to investigate one by one according to the list.
After the investigation of the servants, only one of the people who received the reward for these complaints and Wang Laohan knew and had contradictions, and the two of them had a tear some time ago, and Bao Gong believed that this person was the one who cut the tongue of the cattle, so he ordered the servant to arrest him.
After interrogation, the person finally admitted to the facts of the crime.
Some people may ask, what basis does Bao Gong have to believe that this person is a wicked person who cuts the bull's tongue?
The reason why Bao Gong is famous for judging the case is because he uses reverse thinking, and everyone thinks about it, the person who cut the cow's tongue is neither for theft nor for beef, and the remaining purpose is to disgust the other party, so that the other party can neither kill the cow nor use the cow.
As a result, the wicked man did not achieve his goal, and the old man slaughtered the cattle and sold the meat, minimizing the loss.
Naturally the wicked can't make a plan and give birth to a plan, don't you kill cattle and sell beef? These are illegal acts, I went to the county court to sue you, punished you for ruining your family and was sentenced, I got a bounty, this is called killing two birds with one stone.
Who could have predicted that Bao Gong had already laid a net and only waited for the evil man to come and surrender.
