In the early morning of November 28, Dunhuang fell its second snow since the beginning of winter in 2021. The snow was much heavier than the first snow on November 20, and by noon on the 28th, the snow was still falling, and the mountains and rivers of Dunhuang Desert were covered with snow.
In the Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring Scenic Area, due to the strong wind, after the snow falls on the desert, the sand and snow blend and are blown by the wind, and the windward slopes rarely have very little snow, while the leeward slopes are covered with snow.
Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring Scenic Area has been reopened to the public on November 24, and Mingsha Mountain is particularly beautiful after the snow, attracting citizens and tourists who like to enjoy snow to come and see the snow falling in crescent springs.
