The Four Precepts of Fan " - Chinese Inspirational Book

The Four Trainings of The Fan are the family training left by the author Yuan Yifan to his son. He mainly talked about the idea of "fate is made by me, and blessed to seek oneself", and expounded the method of "seeking good fortune and avoiding evil".

Emphasize that fate can be in your own hands, as long as you accumulate goodness, humility, and touch heaven, you can seek blessings and rewards endlessly.

The book describes four methods:

1. The Study of Destiny

The statement of appearance is that "fate is made by me, and blessings are asked for by oneself." The book says: As long as you gradually enlarge your own moral nature, do your best, do more good deeds, and accumulate more yin virtue, this is the blessing you have created.

2. The law of change

Before doing good deeds and accumulating virtue, we must first correct our minds and correct our shortcomings one by one.

First, initiate shame.

Second, initiate a sense of awe.

The third is to initiate courage

As long as you have these three kinds of minds, you can correct them as soon as you make a mistake.

If what you do can't be satisfactory, it is because your own virtue cultivation is not good, the cultivation is insufficient, and the strength to move people is not enough!

3. The party of accumulating goodness

A large number of examples are given to illustrate the principle of "accumulating good deeds and celebrating".

Good deeds are done day by day, and merit increases day by day. Anything that is good for others must be done with all your heart.

Fourth, the effect of humility.

The "Way of Heaven" is cited to illustrate the truth that "humanity" is full of humility.

The I Ching says, "Heavenly Reason, whatever it is, will cause him to lose money if he is proud and complacent, and he who is humble will benefit him." The tunnel, whatever it is, whatever is proud and complacent, will also make him change, and will not satisfy him, and the humble will make him moist, just like a low place, and the flow of water will surely be full of his defects. The ghosts and gods, for those who are proud and complacent, will let him be punished, and those who are humble will be blessed. The rules of man are to dislike proud and complacent people, but to like humble people. ”

Zeng Guofan most highly praised the Four Precepts of The Great Fan and regarded it as the first book of life wisdom that future generations must read.
