On November 28, local time, after the voting of the Honduran presidential election, both sides declared victory. Preliminary voting results show that the Liberal Reconstruction Party candidate Castro is significantly ahead of the ruling party candidate Asfra.

According to Al Jazeera reported on the 28th, the Honduran Election Commission said that about 16% of the votes are currently counted, and Castro's support rate is 53.4%, while Asfra's support rate is 34%.

If Castro wins, she will become Honduras' first female president. Castro campaigned that honduras would establish diplomatic relations with China after her election.
