A song of mountains and a song of flowing water, a thousand generations of good stories; a few bright moons and a few breezes, invite people to swim at four o'clock. The story of the mountain flowing water meeting Zhiyin has been passed down through the ages, but few people know that this story took place in Wuhan. Now let's get closer to the holy place of Zhiyin hidden in the downtown area- Qintai.
It is said that during the Spring and Autumn Period, there was a saying circulating in various princely states, "Although Chu is talented, Jin is practical", there are many talents in the Chu state, but because of the chaos of domestic officials, many outstanding talents are used by other countries, and Yu Boya is the representative.
Yu Boya was originally a Chu person, but he was a doctor in the Jin Dynasty, and one day Yu Boya returned to Chudi and came by boat along the Han River, passing through Wuhan with bad weather and wind and rain, and Boya could only stop the boat and dock. When the rain passed and the sun was ready to leave again, suddenly the breeze on the river blew Yang Mian, very comfortable, so he took out the Yaoqin and stroked the piano, but before a piece of music was finished, the strings were broken. The ancients believed that someone would listen to the broken string, so Bo Ya searched around, and finally found a woodcutter, named Zhong Zi Period, and the two of them began to talk. Bo Ya wanted to see if it was Zhong Zi period who was eavesdropping on him playing the piano, so he played two more songs, namely "Mountain" and "Flowing Water", and then asked Zhong Zi Period, and Zi Period replied to Bo Ya's two songs "Majestic like Taishan, swinging like a river", Bo Ya saw that Zi Period was really his own confidant, and the more the two talked, the happier they were, and they were introduced as confidants. But Bo Ya finally returned to the Jin State as an official, but also to return to the Jin Kingdom, so the two met here again after a year of meeting, but did not expect that when Boya came the next year, there was only a lonely grave in the place where they met, and an old man next to him said, My son is seriously ill, but he never forgot the agreement with you, saying that after death, he will be buried in the place where the two meet. When Bo Ya heard this, he couldn't help but burst into tears, took out the Yaoqin, and played the two songs of the mountain flowing water that the two acquaintances met, and broke the piano, and Ming Zhi would no longer play the piano in this life. Later generations wrote poems saying, "Breaking the Yaoqin phoenix tail is cold, the sub-period is not playing to whom, full of spring breezes are friends, it is difficult to find a sound."
During the Northern Song Dynasty, in order to commemorate the encounter between The Zhiyin of the Boyazi period, the guqin platform was built at the place where the two met, and then it was destroyed many times, and now the Hanyang guqin platform was rebuilt during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. In ancient times, the Qintai was called the three famous places together with the Yellow Crane Tower and the Harukawa Pavilion.
The famous calligrapher mi fu during the Northern Song Dynasty wrote the word Qintai here;
Feng Menglong of the Ming Dynasty wrote the story of Xie Zhiyin in the "Cautionary Tales";
The Daoguang Emperor of the Qing Dynasty left here the "Yinxin Stone House" written by Tao Wenyi;
Xu Huandou of the Republic of China wrote the "Qintai Chronicle" for the revitalization of the Yuehu Qintai;
In contemporary times, the piano music of alpine flowing water has entered space, showing the human civilization of the earth to the stars through space probes;
When Dong Biwu and Li Xiannian visited the qintai, they took away the rubbings of the inscription poems here.
