Fortunately, at this time, Comrade Mao Zedong came to the Dadu River in time.

When he learned of this difficult situation, he immediately made a decision and immediately decided that except for our cadre regiment and the first division continuing to cross the river at Anshun Field, the rest of the troops, with the first army, the second division and the fourth regiment as the center, all went up the river and crossed the river from Luding Bridge.

When the cadre regiment crossed the river, our upper cadre team was arranged at the end of the whole regiment. In front of us crossed the river was a boat carrying supplies and livestock from the supply office of the cadre regiment. When the boat sailed into the middle of the river, it was not known whether it hit the reef or encountered a large whirlpool, and the hull of the ship shook violently, the cattle were frightened, jumped wildly, the boat overturned, and the personnel, supplies, and livestock on board all fell into the water, and all but two boatmen with good water characteristics were washed away by the torrent, including comrades sent by the political section of our cadres to escort the boats.

When it was our turn to cross the river, the boat led by Lu Rencan, secretary of the party branch of the Political Section, also encountered a dangerous situation when it was about to dock, and was swept down by the torrent for tens of meters. Some of the trainees were preparing to dive, but fortunately, the boatman was eager to grasp a large rock on the shore, which stabilized the boat and turned the danger into a disaster.

After crossing the river, we stayed at Anjingba for two days, that is, with the first division of a corps, it became the right road, echoing all the other troops as the left road, and rushing up the river.

A few days later, the left-hand troops all crossed the Luding Pass. The Dadu River was finally conquered, and Chiang Kai-shek's dream of the Red Army becoming Shi Dakai's second was finally completely destroyed. In this way, the conclusion that the trainees came up with when discussing this issue that "the Red Army is not 170 pages —it is Shi Dakai" has been tested by practice and proved to be completely correct.

Comrade Li Yihao, who accompanied the Shanggan brigade on the Long March, wrote a poem entitled "Nostalgia for the Ancients of the Dadu River," which to a certain extent also reflected the thousands of thoughts of all the comrades of the Shanggan brigade before and after crossing the Dadu River.

When writing about Shi Dakai's tragedy, he had a similar poem: "How can you cross over and over again, and the Wing King will hate into Xichuan", "Check the Taiping Heavenly Affairs, and the shock waves are too sad."

Writing about the Victorious Crossing of the Dadu River by the Red Army, he wrote excitedly: "Seventeen people flew seventeen pulps, a ship of beacons and waves poured out, and he lost dadu as a heavenly graben, and saw the Red Army cross the iron bridge."

The meeting point of the left and right route armies is Longbabu (Longbapu) south of Luding Bridge. By the time we arrived, most of the troops had already moved on, with only one of the three corps still stationed in the street.

Continuing from Longbabu is Hualinping. After that, we were able to completely break away from the Dadu River and never see the river again. Along the way, we observed the water potential of the Dadu River, and everywhere there were "rocks and clouds, waves cracking the shore, and a thousand piles of snow rolled up.", and there was no place in the whole that could be set up with floating shoulders.

Without luding, this chain bridge, tens of thousands of Red Army soldiers would not have known how to cross this famous river in modern history smoothly! Some comrades have raised a thought-provoking question: The Luding Bridge was already built during the Qing Dynasty, and when it came to the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, why did Shi Dakai not think of crossing the river from the Luding Bridge? Starting from this question, many students expressed their admiration for Comrade Mao Zedong's decisive decision to drive the Red Army up the river and seize the Luding Bridge. This fact makes it even more fully clear that the Red Army is indeed not Shi Dakai! —171 Pages—
