André Van Brianna's pigeon racing story

André Van Brianna, a well-known name among pigeon racers, through the following story you can see what the pigeon master looked like when he came, how he came into contact with the pigeons by chance, who was his leader, what was his philosophy of breeding pigeons, how to survive the difficult years and finally "the leftovers are king", although the old age still dares to challenge the higher goals, hoping to be useful to everyone.

In 1987, at the age of 77, Ann Van Buliana ran a large furniture store. He was born in a small town called Jarbeck, south of the town of Dawa in the West Flanders region of Belgium.

Father Mir Van Brianna ran agriculture. By chance, I got a few pigeons from a friend and became interested in pigeon breeding. André was only 16 years old at the time and began his more than 60-year career as pigeon breeders.

In the first 4 years, the young Andrei, under the guidance of his uncle, only participated in short-distance competitions and came to prominence. In 1930, when he switched to the middle distance, Andre's reputation spread in the vicinity.

As a young man, he was passionate about pigeon breeding, and whenever his uncle Rogerim visited the fancier's loft, he always had a thirst for knowledge. Follow along to visit to gain insight and experience.

The source line that forms the basic pigeon of the Van Buliana pigeon family includes the Camini, Bonot, Ferma, Catolis, Gu Nai, Wanda Yistrobe and other lines. Among them, Khommini is formed by the four most advanced systems such as Weiqi, Wandeveld, Seeon and Faga.

The bloodline of Ferma is also the basic bloodline of the world famous lineage of SititrieBault, and it can be said that Van Buliana and Stittribault have a certain relationship between these two lineages.

Van Buliana's pigeon breed is characterized by its adaptability to long distance racing. In many long-haul races over the years in Barcelona, Pau, Saint-Sébastine, Limongis, Napaoy, etc., this pigeon breed has played an extremely strong and fruitful role. This is beyond the reach of other pigeon breeds.

Van Buliana's physique tended to be larger. From this point of view, we guess that he did not unswervingly follow the method of inbreeding. Van's strength is not in maintaining his existing bloodline, but in aiming to breed good pigeons.

In addition, he concentrated on improving his pigeons. Among the pigeons he introduced, they were all famous pigeons who were not worse than himself, and the pedigree of the pigeons was not selected at all.

The plumage of van Brienne is mostly ordinary gray, followed by raindrops, black raindrops, dark colors and variegated whites. The main feathers of the pigeon have mosaics, grey spots, browns, or dark spots on both sides of the shaft, which appear to be of a solid pedigree.

In terms of bones and morphology of the Van Buliana lineage, the feet and waist are relatively strong, the keel looks slightly higher, and occasionally there are hunchback pigeons, which are generally large, wide and strong in the back ridge, showing the characteristics of modern pigeons.

The feathers are soft and feel very good when using a pigeon in hand. Most of the pigeon's eye color is orange-yellow, but there are also white peach blossoms, red eyes and so on. The head is flattened , broad , slightly convex on the forehead , and the convex part of the eye is slightly straight to the middle of the upper mouth.

In 1934 Van began to join the ranks of long distance racing. Before the Second World War, he was a formidable rival to Stitribault and a striking winner in the town of Dawa.

In 1939, the Second World War broke out, and people's livelihoods were struggling. Pigeon racing has also become difficult. Although pigeons are still allowed, it is indeed extremely difficult to keep pigeons.

In several countries outside Belgium, restrictions are more stringent, with only a very small number of people allowed to keep pigeons. Under german occupation, well-known pigeon breeders such as Dilba were fortunate to receive additional protection and were able to feed pigeons as usual.

Van's had become the best pigeon breeder in Belgium by this time, but because he was too young and not yet 30 years old, his international reputation was not high enough. Therefore, like other pigeon breeders, he had to rely on his own ways to protect his pigeons.

Pigeons were forbidden to fly outside the house, and he tried to spy on opportunities, often making pigeons fly. The number of pigeons he kept was reduced to 60. At that time, the source of feed was not easy, and the quality was even more scarce, so people had to limit or even stop the breeding of pigeons.

However, Van continued to pair and breed anyway. This brought great benefits to his later competitions. After the war, Van Briana developed rapidly.

It is not so much about restoration as it is for van Brianna's golden age to be established after the war. In particular, between 1945 and 1948, based on the above favorable factors, the breeding of pigeons made him a "belgian winner" to a "winner of the world".

Any breed in the world known as the Pigeon must have one or two famous pigeons with outstanding results. Such as Defrente's "Black Belt", Dierba's "KlainEn Gespot", Desmante Mates's "Kleinian" and so on. Van Buliana is no exception, he also has the "young cow" and "Zvatian" crowned the big famous pigeons.

André Van Brianna's pigeon racing story

In a commemorative race, the 1949 Napaonet International Competition, Van's took in four pigeons and all four pigeons returned, with a total of 9,070 pigeons, and he was honoured to finish 2nd, 9th, 54th and 86th prizes.

This achievement was the greatest victory of his life. In this race, his famous pigeon Zvatian won the second prize and the young cow finished 54th. In this year, the "young cow" won a high position of less than 1% in 8 competitions for 6 consecutive times, and the "Zwatian" achieved even better.

The famous pigeon breeder Kartlis once overwhelmed the pigeon world in all of West Flanders with his ace pigeon "No. 45". At that time, Van Buliana, who was determined to defeat the "No. 45" pigeon of Ka, threw his beloved ace pigeon Zvatian into the international competition of Nabauy in 1950.

There are many super stars participating in this competition, like "No. 45" by Karterlis, "No. 16" by Hesken von Lyleer, and the competition is quite fierce. As soon as the results were announced, Van Brien couldn't help but jump with excitement.

His "Zvatian" finished 6th, while "No. 45" was 330th. In 1951 he won a 1st Royal Belgian Ace Pigeon Association.

It is impossible for a pigeon to keep it at its peak at all times, but van Brienne's famous pigeon Young is an exception.

In 1951, after several competitions and several prizes, Van was scheduled to participate in the last Pau Long Distance Competition, with 1,222 pigeons. After the pigeons are released, many of the stronger lofts wait from sunrise to sunset.

But when Van Buliana went to inspect the loft after dinner, he found the "young cow" peacefully in his own nest. This accident made him excited, and his hands trembled for a long time before he began to smile.

The "Cub" won the championship this time, setting the only record for the return of the single feather on the same day. Not only the whole of the Flanders, but also the winners of the world had to express their admiration and respect.

Although Fan Shi is old, he is still invincible and xiang is invincible. And maintained a consistent sharp momentum, playing to a higher level.

In 1986, after 1982, he won the Belgian National Marathon twice, and in 1984, after 1966, he won the major International Championship in Barcelona.

These results are really rare and show the great potential of Van Bulian's pigeons. International pigeon racing is recognized as an outstanding pigeon breeder and a brilliant superstar in the world of pigeons!
