At 9:02 a.m., the airport operation command room received a notice from the tower that an Air China flight CA1088 had a flap failure in the approach area, and the crew decided to land with the fault.
After receiving the notice, Changchun Airport immediately launched the emergency rescue plan for aircraft emergencies, and urgently issued an emergency rescue "assembly standby" instruction, and at the same time informed the emergency rescue units inside and outside the airport according to the principle of "handling while reporting". Under the unified command of the airport operation command center, the support units immediately carried out disposal work in accordance with the emergency procedures, urgently dispatched rescue forces, the fire brigade arrived at the assembly position within 3 minutes of the start of the plan, and all other rescue forces completed the assembly action within 7 minutes of the start of the plan, and waited in a strict position on the airfield, ready to carry out rescue at any time.
At 9:12, with the safe landing of Air China Flight CA1088, the aircraft slid smoothly into the aircraft position, and the tense atmosphere gradually eased. After confirming that there were no other abnormal conditions in the aircraft, at 9:23, Changchun Airport ended the "assembly standby" rescue order. A total of 52 rescue vehicles and 157 rescue personnel were dispatched at Changchun Airport, and it took only 10 minutes from the early warning reception to the safe landing of the aircraft.
