Since I bought my child the book "The Great Fox Daddy", I have read it to him several times. Is this book really suitable for children?
It is a fairy tale written by Roald Dahl in which the main characters are three door-breaking and despicable farmers, namely Boggis, Bunce and Bean, a clever fox father, a virtuous fox mother and three cute fox babies, as well as some small animals.
The story mainly tells that Papa Fox is a very intelligent and amazing person. First, Papa Fox's sense of smell is very sensitive, he can smell it 50 yards away, and he uses this skill to find food for his family. Second, Papa Fox is a responsible and responsible dad who has to find ways to wrestle with three farmers every day to find more food. Third, Papa Fox's mind was particularly clever, and he thought of going to the farmer's house in search of food by punching holes.
Papa Fox would go to one of the three farms every evening to steal food and cook dinner for one of them. Because of this, the three stingy farmers hated Daddy Fox so much that they tried to catch it every day, but they were always discovered by the clever Daddy Fox. So the three farmers united and vowed to catch them and destroy the clever father fox. The three farmers put their guns on the outside of the cave, intending to kill Papa Fox. But they only hit Daddy Fox's tail, and Daddy Fox's family hid in the hole and didn't come out. So the Three Ofgers wanted to dig out Papa Fox's family with a shovel. Papa Fox's family realized the danger at this time and began to dig holes vigorously, so they did not let Boggis, Bunce, and Bean succeed.
But who knows, the cunning Boggis Bond and Bean drove an excavator, and they dug a mountain, but they still didn't find Daddy Fox's family. It turned out that the fox father's family had dug the cave all the way to the ground, leaving only one opening. Three farmers camped next to the entrance to the cave, guarding the hole, trying to starve the fox family alive inside the cave.
Finally Papa Fox thought of a good way to dig up Borghese's chicken coop, Bunce's goose pen, and Bean's private cider cellar, and made a decision, and from then on, he broke off relations with the outside world and stayed in the cave forever.
Instead of starving or forcing Daddy Fox's family to death, Boggis, Bunce, and Bean lost their food.

They no longer have to worry about feeding themselves. Papa Fox is not only intelligent, but also witty, industrious, and brave, and he uses his wisdom to save all the animals together.
But after reading this story, I thought deeply about the cause of this incident, because the fox father went to steal the farmers' food, so it would lead to the farmers retaliating and chasing.
The behavior of the farmers may really not be liked, but they all get all this through their own hard work. They are stingy and slamming doors, which is their character, after all, their wealth is not blown by the wind. In contrast, according to Papa Fox, the farmers have so many chickens, ducks and geese, what does it have to do with some of them, and each fat chicken, duck and goose does not grow into this on its own, but also the farmers invest in the cost of feeding. Papa Fox said I was only doing this to feed my family. However, other animals also have a family to feed, but other animals do not steal other people's things like father foxes, but rely on their own efforts to find things for their families to eat. Other animals can support themselves, so why can't such a clever fox father?
