The gentle Huai River flows quietly
The waters of the Qingqing River nourish the small villages
There are my loved ones there
There is my hometown there
There are times of my childhood left
On the embankment, I spent years with old cows
Haunts my dreams from time to time
On the stranger, the parents worked day and night
Deep footprints
Stomp on my heart
Sorghum red, cotton white, grain ear gold, cauliflower yellow
Harvest fields
Sprinkle my sweat
Witnessed my growth
Being in a foreign land, it is rare to go back once a year
Today, the hometown has changed dramatically
The tall buildings buried the grass houses
The asphalt annihilates the aroma of the earth
Vast lawns replace 10,000 acres of grain fields
The face of the new countryside
