As a person who started learning music at the age of three and a half, I fell in love with music but not because of long hours of practicing. Guo Jia feels that the practice of the piano brings him, in addition to the satisfaction of vanity brought to him by winning many piano competitions when he was a child, the biggest and longest pleasure is actually the ability to "play the piano" when he is not practicing. After that, the time spent on "playing the piano" without following the score gradually exceeded the time spent practicing the piano, and he fell in love with music and learned to express it with music.
"So, the first time I read nietzsche's 'Eternal Return' in What Zarathustra says, I didn't feel exaggerated like many people do, because I even more exaggeratedly felt that it was happening to me personally," Guo Jia said. His grandfather and grandmother were teachers, and his maternal grandfather and grandmother were from the local elite of the old society and served as "literacy teachers" after liberation, which made him aspire to be a teacher from an early age; in the family environment where his father was a national instrument player and his mother was a costume designer, he was fully artistically educated. Now that he has combined two generations of identity, both as a teacher and as a professional music practitioner, he feels that there is a long way to go. For more than thirty years, he has not changed his insistence on "being a teacher from an early age" and likes to "play the piano", and now the first sentence he taught himself to his one-and-a-half-year-old children is Nietzsche's "Life without music is a mistake", which shows that this original intention will continue to be passed on.
